Me and myself

"Me and myself" is a short and somewhat mediocre 3D platformer with the "giant environment" schtick that looks like some kind of tech demo or a student assignment, with some maybe borrowed Unreal Marketplace/Fab assets. The idea is that you are a lonely girl and you get an imaginary friend and guide her through your house which involves a lot of 3D platforming. I say a lot, not really that much, this is a very short game. There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. The language of bad games is universal. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Игровой процесс интуитивно понятен, но глубина механик раскрывается постепенно, предлагая игроку всё новые и новые грани для исследования. Визуальный стиль минималистичен, но при этом невероятно атмосферен, создавая идеальный фон для рефлексии. Музыкальное сопровождение — отдельный шедевр, которое тонко подчёркивает эмоциональное состояние и помогает глубже погрузиться в процесс. "Me and Myself" — это скорее опыт, чем просто игра, которая оставляет приятное послевкусие и желание вернуться к себе, к своим истинным "Я". Отличный выбор для тех, кто ищет нечто большее, чем стандартное развлечение.

This game is outrageous!

This is basically a tech demo. The handling and graphic parts are okay. (However, the sound effect for death is quite funny.) The puzzle design brings nothing creative so far but are still satisfactory. There is a bug that your other self may not repeat the recorded actions exactly, e. g. sometimes it may fail to jump across a gap and fall down. Since this game is short and free, you can have a try anytime. 基本上算是个演示作品吧，操作和画面还可以，死亡音效有点搞笑。谜题设计一般，目前没有特别惊艳的地方。人物切换之后偶尔会有不能重复之前录制的动作的情况，比如跳跃莫名其妙地失败，从间隙掉下去…… 游戏通关时间很短，又是免费的，有空的话可以试一试。
