[h3]Major critique twist edit at the bottom[/h3] [h1]Your opinion of the game should greatly vary by how you analyse it as you play[/h1] On a casual perspective, the game looks good and plays fine. The sound design is decent and gameplay feels familiar and easy to learn. The combat is easy and forgiving, ammo are common and you can have extra heals by breaking things. On the other more critical perspective. You'll see many unpolished aspects or basic depth to mechanics and features. You'll notice a gigantic amount of misaligned buildings, weird layouts that makes no sense in homes, warehouses, etc. The dialogues feels too scripted and either info dump you or go straight to the point. Not many things feel natural. MANY questionable designs (such as in the sewers, where some staircases has 2 different stair materials and sizes in the same one. Speaking of the sewers, there's a lot of wooden items at the bottom, where they would rot. There's no sign of any pump or drain in the sewers, there's almost no algae, moisture nor dirt almost anywhere. To remain on questionable designs. There's a warehouse…

Feels really sluggish and frankly a lot more bring that I would imagine, Unfortunetly I started playing over 2 weeks after buying so no refunds. Might come back to it later.

Game isn't bad...I've definitely played far worse - just doesn't do anything great. Starts out interestingly enough but with what time i gave it, i found it to be boring and a chore to play with no signs of it improving. Just feels like the game lacks any soul that would've made it fun and worth the time. It appears to try to be a Zelda game and while it does take some stuff from those titles...you're better of just going to play those titles if you're looking to scratch that itch.

Good story and gameplay. Combat could use some polish. Looking forward to the sequel.

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm is not just a good fantasy, adventure game and a good Zelda clone, it's a really good sequel to the first game, but let's talk about the story. A thousand years ago on the planet Gaia there once was a kingdom called Arcadia, a technological marvel that was wiped out due to the wicked sorcerer known as Mesmeroth and the rise of three terrible war machine monsters turned against their creators, one of them known as Oceanhorn. But is that the real story or is there something more? On a dark night Mesmeroth before his turn gives an old friend a baby boy who grows into a young man who dreams of becoming a knight is soon wrapped up in a conspiracy and war far more treacherous than the Direfolk War was. Now then the likes, the story is very good it's a lot better than the first game as that was a more simple Legend of Zelda style story, you must gather ancient items in order to stop the villain, but here this story is more complex with themes of nature, war and progress.
