Does much more even need to be said? OrbiTank is a local-multiplayer tank game with a fresh spin on projectile combat. Use gravity to your advantage to shoot your shells in and out of orbit, hop from planet to planet, and dive bomb your enemies. Explore a vast variety of arenas which feature several gravitational mechanics such as planets, orbiting moons, spinning space stations, and even treacherous black holes.
Classic
The classic game mode is good old reliable. You can't go wrong! It's just you, a friend, and the most balanced version of the game that has been experimented with. Players have three lives per round, and in order to win it all, you must rack up five points. Points are collected by winning levels, and levels will continue to be generated until either player wins the game. Usually a game in the classic game mode will last about 10 minutes, or until your friend starts to call your mother names.
Tournament
With the tournament game mode, you can challenge a whole group of friends to your mega epic gamer skills. Winner gets to not be made fun of for playing MOBAs. No, but seriously. Although no more than two players will ever be hashing it out on the screen at once, tournaments can be generated with up to eight contestants. This is a great game mode for parties and does not disappoint as a fun time sink. Expect hoots and hollers.
Custom
Trying to shake things up? Then this is just the game mode for you! You can modify several balancing settings using the custom game mode. This means if you want a really long game but it switches levels after every time a player is killed, you can do that. If you want to speed or slow down the fire rate to make the game more arcade-like or more tactical, you have the options. And, finally, my favorite, you have the ability to turn the planet movement up to like, a lot a lot. Prepare yourself for ludicrous speed.

Great little game to play with friends. The orbital physics make for a lot of fun and some crazy shots. Great soundtrack as well (Very similar to the Tiger Kings)2 found this helpful
"OrbiTank" is right out of the "Bad Ideas Implemented Badly" bucket on Steam, an objectively failed attempt to make a PvP "party game" like Worms (itself a ripoff of Scorched Earth), except without the terrain destruction, interesting weapons, almost tolerable graphics etc... and instead with a rather lame small planet physics gimmick that has you roll around little circles and jump around exactly the way tanks really can't. What do you do in the game? Nothing, there's no players, the developer couldn't work out how to do multiplayer netcode, and if you ask your friends to play this kind of game you soon won't have any. On the topic of visuals, the weak looking 2D retro assets seem like they'd be more at home in a browser game or a mobile app. 3D graphics accelerators hit the mainstream of PC gaming in the mid 1990's with cards like the ATI Rage and Voodoo3D, there's no excuse for such poor 2D graphics in 2025. That alone is enough to disqualify this for recommendation. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $2 USD for this. Orbitank is a 2-D arena shooter where you and a friend duke it out on various planets, using the gravity of each planet to influence your shots. The draw of the game is being able to shoot cross-planet arcing shots that hit your enemies in the most unexpected ways, and the game lends itself well to this premise. You have a guiding line shown when aiming as well as a smaller initial speed to make lining up precise shots easier. The only issue I've spotted with how the game controls is that sometimes landing on planets can invert your movement controls, but it handled this well most of the time. This game sets itself up as a party game format, where you pass off between a couple of people every now and then, but as of right now, you can only play in a best of 5 format. The developer has stated he's still working on the game, so this may change at a later date. As of right now, it's a fun replayable party game that doesn't demand too much of a player but also lets them do some cool shots.1 found this helpful
OrbiTank changed my life forever in the thirty minutes I played it. After playing this game, I became a better person, and now I do charity work and have found a newfound passion for helping others.
Tight controls, smooth remote play, and perfect execution of a brilliant concept. Gut-busting great time with friends, quickly entered my party-game rotation. and will remain there for a very long time.
