20 years after the award-winning action adventure hit, Outcast, pioneered the genre of non-linear open-world games, the long-awaited sequel sees Cutter Slade return to the spectacular alien world of Adelpha. Resurrected by the almighty Yods, he has returned to find the Talans enslaved, the world stripped of its natural resources, and his own past intertwining with the invading robot forces. It's up to him to go on a mission and save the planet again.

[b] Outcast: A New Beginning is a sci-fi open-world adventure with a beautiful world and fun jetpack traversal. Exploration is easily the game's biggest strength and I really liked the main character's vibe. I also enjoyed the quests focused on the native communities and the interactions between their people, which helped make the world feel more interesting and alive. I also loved the music, it somehow felt familiar and fit the world really well. On the other hand, the combat gets repetitive, enemy variety is limited and I wish there was more variation among the friendly NPCs to make the world feel more alive. Overall, I liked this game more than I expected. P.S.: Remember to save frequently! Some bugs can mess up your save and ruin your experience. P.S.2: In case you mess up like I did, you can use another Daoka Core to activate a different Daoka. I ended up exploring so much that I wandered far away from the Daoka I was originally aiming for. P.S.3: The Gork system had potential but it felt underused. They could have done much more with it. There are many things that can be and have been criticized about this game - but it's simply just great fun to play. Not much to find while exploring? True - but using the glider is great fun and the views are beautiful and absolutely worth it. Combat repetitive? No more than in other games. Story? Not mindblowing, but alright; towards the end it might get slightly confusing for people who don't know the (very old) first game. Dialogues? Many of them are unnecessary annoying babble, which is a shame, because skipping all the dialogues will also make you miss the occasional gem. But every time I found something I thought wasn't so perfect I also immediately thought, "yes, [i]but it's so much [b]fun[/b] to play!![/i]" Which, in my opinion, is the whole point of playing a game. So yes: recommend!
Pretty good game, looks great, story isnt bad, world is amazing, does get a little repetitive sometimes.
Nice adventure game. a Few techical glitches here and there, enemies getting stuck in the floor.
A really nice game. The worldbuilding and visuals are great, the gameplay sadly a bit janky. But I had a lot of fun, and revisiting Adelpha after a quater of a century felt great. If you want an immersive game you can get lost in, get it. If you want great gameplay, better look somewhere else.
If you like Elix games this is a great one kinda like them. The graphics are beutiful.
