Suprisingly addicting! Lovely artstyle with a nice soundtrack that keeps you playing over and over again for the next run!

A great survivor like in the works! It's quite unique, and challenging, compared to the many I have played. I'm particularly enjoying the gameplay where you have followers that deal damage, block, etc, rather than you yourself. This adds a layer of unit management because they do not all have the same movement speed as you, so you must kite appropriately and do your best to keep them in good positions. The meta progression isn't like many of the other survivors I have played. No, you do not keep all of your gold you collect between runs. If you want to buy an upgrades, like more starting followers or increasing their stats, you must collect enough gold in a single run to buy them. It is difficult and can take a few tries to figure it out and collect enough for your first upgrades, but its not unreasonable. To me, this alone sets it apart as you cannot just grind up gold with little to no effort, you must actually survive long enough to collect your gold in the run. It really feels good when you finally get enough to buy the next thing you need. Another form of meta progression actually does not require you do buy anything at all. Yet another Vampire Survivors Clone? FRAG YEAH! This game leans completely into the retro look and is cheesy in the best way possible. There are already from the first minute plenty of different enemy types to keep you challenged and a lot of cute details in the landscape. The gameplay has a twist: It is not you controlling the heroes, but you being the banner man, similar to Olimar in Pikmin guiding a group of soldiers through hordes of enemies. Over time you will understand the upgrading and buff mechanics and fall into the "one more try" trap. I play this game between bigger tasks at work for just 5-10 minutes to get a platte cleanse and for that little money this is more than I can ask for. @Developers: Please don't make Q close the game. I typed it so often when I tried to spawn a Soldier with A. It is messing me up! :D

Really cool twist on Survivor-likes!

Pesky Orcs is a Vampire Survivor clone with permanent and temporary upgrades. Obviously, the temporary upgrades last for one run, but the shield upgrade allows you to acquire enough money to purchase permanent upgrades. The game starts off as extremely unfair, but once you acquire the shield, you'll be good enough to purchase a permanent upgrade. Upgrades on the field of play allow you to acquire health or a temporary extra soldier. Some of the obstacles on the field caught me off guard, but the obstacles on the field are more layered, as compared to change in terrain. Full controller support. Price is fair.

Sorry, but no, this is not a 'good' game, you lose all your gold at the start of a round (no savings!!), just more of the mobile to PC convertions.
