“Great puzzles. This is a fast game that keeps the brain clicking along the whole way.” – Carl Jaynes, NYC, New York
“Very successful at connecting the items in each level to the story elements and weaving in a lot of dialog, clues and other mini games. The visuals are beautiful and it’s all cohesive so you feel like you are in that late 1940s to early 1950s era.” – Brandon Jones, San Mateo, CA

I hate to be the first one to say it, but if you like standard PC hidden object, adventure or detective games, you won't like this game. It's as if it was designed-by-committee by people who know nothing about hidden object games (or adventure or detective games). Most of the game is spent not actually "playing" and when you do get to "play" they time you / pressure you into doing X as quickly as possible. And "play" is broken up into 30 second bursts. It's the opposite of casual fun.

half the game is spent on loading screens
the other half on unnecessary/repetitive/unskippable animations
every HO scene is timed (and scored!)
repeated scenes/objects (same scene same object, many times)
duplicate/decoy objects in scenes (only one active)
minigames only used for hints (and only 4 of them)
don't actually get to investigate/interview anyone
it isn't intuitive how to progress forward
etc
25 found this helpful
Pros: - good artwork for scenes, hidden objects, and characters - interesting storyline and plot - cutscenes and audio that get the player immersed - the player is given a "why" to what they are doing, rather than just mindlessly finding objects - Steam achievements - good price compared to some other hidden object games (I'm looking at you Artifex Mundi) Cons: - minor bugs - limited options to alter gameplay to player's wants/needs Pro/con (player dependent): - Explicitly hidden object orientated (if focusing on progressing in the game; the minigames are optional) - Some timed hidden object scenes - Lots of dialogue Summary: As far as hidden object games go, this one really stays true to the name. The good news is that this game does hidden object scenes well. Though, some puzzle game players might not like this style of hidden object game, being pretty much explicitly hidden object. Regardless of gameplay preferences, the audio, character and scene artwork, dialogue, and cutscenes are top notch. I recommend picking it up! Personal end rating: 8/10 For players on the opposite end of the spectrum: - who become bored with hidden object scenes and prefer other methods of puzzles…11 found this helpful

Nice theme but the puzzles are way to easy and last about 20 to 30 seconds
Survive-able if you stand tutorial you can't turn off. Well I guess it expected for Blue book hidden object. I was hoping for more. Like animated videos. Like or dislike: Wait after 1 hour. Other opinion:
