Steelrising

I would enjoy this game if there wasn't the one problem with the deadzones of the gamepad sticks. The deadzones are way too big, which makes it feel so extremely clunky that i cannot / don't want to play the game in this state.

Steelrising is possibly THE WORST Souls-Like wannabe I have ever played. Story is mediocre, bosses are EXTREMELY easy (you will die mostly by normal mobs or environment but probably never from a boss), clipping with terrain is horrible (you will get stucked on every stone, piece of wood, corner, pebble, etc that is laying in front of you and good luck with stairs). NG+ is overtuned but at least it proved a bit more of a challenge while completing it with no heal flask. Not even mentioning the fact that you have access to a slow-motioned-dash (?!?) as a robot, parry mechanic is broken both as a benefit for the player and because it is not consistent, hit boxes are...not good (hello Centaur) and finally a really bad level design. Unless you are like me and want to 100% all the games in this genre, (and even then..) I do not recommend this game at all.

A fun game, a decent soulslike. A level lower than all the Lies of Khazan games, but all the basic elements of the genre are at the high level. As with Asterigos, I enjoyed the combat the most. The system itself is fast and enjoyable, you can freely customize your character (skills, weapons), and without a doubt, combat is what drives the game. The biggest downside, and something that largely lets me down, is the lack of a map. It's harder to get lost in this game than in Asterigos (because there's a compass and the levels are more linear), but the lack of a map significantly impacts elements like exploring optional levels. I generally like to explore every nook and cranny, but in games without a map, I don't do that at all.

Great game with a good variety of enemies and weapons. I went DEX parry build but I think alchemist maybe really fun. Bosses maybe too easy. Its a cool linear adventure game with souls like mechanics. Optimization is the real problem. I recommend on sale, especially cause the studio got shutdown by Nacon.

It's a fun soulslike with a great story, vaguely historically inspired. If you know some stuff about the french revolution you will maybe recognize some characters. The only real weak points of the game are the mid performance, even when i tried it on windows, and some unfortunate item placements that can let you miss important parts of the story and even lock you out of future parts of the story. You can get locked into a very early stage of side quests if you missed a single item for example. All in all it's great, i had a lot of fun with all of the counterattack weapons.

7/10 Really enjoyed the vast majority of this game. This was only the second souls-like game I played, but overall I thought it was a lot of fun. The challenge, combat, customization, upgrades, explorations, design, ect... all felt great. I'd recommend this game, but I gotta say it is full of bugs and jank. I constantly had to press L3 to get the character to run which got really frustrating Sometimes during a fight my view got blocked by background scenery like if I was near a wall and rotating the camera around to follow the enemy My movement got blocked and stuck on objects in the environment like boxes or barrels or crates I even had trouble going up some stairs because of their design and hitboxes Also, there were a lot of instances where you'd collect an item but the VFX would remain on screen and in the level The game started to drag on twords the end with all the side missions, but outside of that, I thought the games pacing was done well. Exploring new levels was always a exciting and had me on my toes not wanting to rush into a situation to get ambushed and lose all my XP or hoping a save point was just around the corner. I'd probably rate it 9/10 if it didn't have…
