honestly as an og sw player from 2014 this is a great way to replay the original with new flair, the idea is the same collect monsters, awken them, rune them up. ive been free to play this whole time and i feel like the game rewards me plenty. its hard for me to play the original because of how many monsters i had to keep track and this was a great way to restart with out it feeling redundant i can apreciate the game for what it is.2 found this helpful

The game is fun at first, but once you realize how heavily pay-to-win it is, the fun is over.
While I do really love anime-styled ARPGs I tend to stay away from the live service games in this genre. Not because they cannot be good, but rather I dont have the time to invest to get the most out of these games. I also like to play and experience new games all the time, which helps keeping my gamedev curiosity and skills to grow and change. So full transparancy, Summoners War: Chronicles is another game I played for reseach purposes. I mainly came to it to study the production of the 3D visuals, the gameplay and the lobby and online systems. The production values in Summoners War: Chronicles is really solid. While not at the level of MiHoyo's games, what Com2uS is aiming for and achieving here its nothing to sneeze at. Visually it skews towards a younger, western and more causal audience. The character proportions are semi-stylized with youthful, slender bodies and enlarged heads, which helps them stay clear of the hyper-sexualized fanservice that the major gacha ARPGs has. Dragon Nest, Elsword, Code Lyoko, Inazuma Eleven, Scissor Seven and Miraculous Ladybug comes to mind. Its a cool style for character porportions that makes them easy to read, but it also feels a …
