It’s barely close to a “roguelike.” The metaprogression is extremely slow... everything is very slow. After 2.7 hours and a few runs, I’ve got... 3 “metacoins” that I can use to improve my deck. The metaprogression is barely there at all — grindy as fck. ----- 2 hours later.... progression is still very slow... and the location is always the same - same fights, same enemy, same enemy order. it feels the same, every run have no difference. it should I suppose later on, more cards you get, but it is too boring to continue, It is slow enough to become boring, I guess I`ll just skip it - 4 hours is more than enoguh for this game

It's a roguelike deckbuilding game. You can choose from nine characters, each with different mechanics, although some cards are shared between the characters. Despite being a roguelike, there's a story with main and secondary quests that unfolds across the runs. The game is truly beautiful and satisfying. I particularly liked the character mechanics (the necromancer's is a stroke of genius). There are countless cards and abilities, allowing for enormous depth in the game. No two runs are the same. Another strong point is the ability to create a village where you'll welcome various NPCs who will allow you to enhance your abilities. The story and setting are very well crafted and convey the dark atmosphere it seeks to convey well. The enemies aren't numerous, and after a few runs, you'll know them by heart. Even though it's been out for five years, I definitely recommend buying it if you're a fan of roguelike deckbuilding games because it's a great experience. E’ un roguelike deckbuilding. This is a card battler I've recently returned to with several others under my belt now. I really enjoy the progression of quests spanning across runs, as well as passives building up to interesting synergies. Honestly though, the gameplay takes a backseat to the lore for me. The combat is fairly engaging, but I really love running into new locations or new NPCs to talk to them. Each one is interesting or horrifying in equal measure. I'm still trying to get used to the play style of the different classes. My biggest gripe is that I couldn't delete my save from a long time ago and start over, so I had to relearn everything without tutorials to guide me. I went through a whole failed run where I never figured out how to use my ultimate and just perished. Ultimate use is pretty important to know! lol (You can just click on it with your mouse, but it looks more like a gauge than a button so that didn't occur to me)
