About The Last Nordic Tribe
Have you ever wondered what shaped the brutality of the Vikings and forged these fierce warriors? The Last Nordic Tribe is an action survival game with light RPG elements, set in the brutal realities of the early Middle Ages. The game’s action takes place shortly after the Great Winter, known as the “Little Ragnarök” (536–539 AD), which nearly wiped out life in Scandinavia and left the world in ruins. This tragic period claimed the lives of 95% of Scandinavia's population, and the memories of these events were preserved centuries later on the Rök Runestone – a warning to future generations. The game’s storyline was created entirely from scratch, based only on a handful of surviving historical sources. To give it greater depth, fictional elements were introduced — including an attempt to restore the Roman Empire in Britain and the concept of a new amber route that would transport slaves, furs, and amber from Scandinavia to Britain.Your mission is to survive at all costs, using survival mechanics such as gathering resources and crafting weapons from available components, and facing an uneven battle against overwhelming threats - the freezing cold and relentless hunger. Encounters with enemies will provide not only valuable experience but also essential materials for survival. The game recreates the atmosphere of the time – land covered in volcanic ash, barren trees, wooden buildings, and the characteristic aesthetics and culture of the early Middle Ages. All of this comes together to create a dark and immersive experience that transports players to a world marked by the aftermath of the “Little Ragnarök.”Can you survive in a world where history was never meant to be so brutal?

A year of waiting. Finally!7 found this helpful
After all the over-the-top AAA titles we’ve seen lately, was this game a welcome change for me. It’s one of those games that proves you don’t need a massive budget to create a gripping atmosphere and genuine fun. What I especially liked: Refreshing gameplay: It just feels “different” from the same old stuff you’re usually served. The focus is on the essentials, and that makes it incredibly fun. Technically flawless: In an era where many games hit the market unfinished, this title is a notable exception. The game ran absolutely smoothly for me—no stuttering, no bugs, and most importantly, no crashes. Atmosphere: You can tell a lot of heart and soul went into this. The Nordic theme is brilliantly executed. Conclusion: I can recommend this game without hesitation. Anyone looking for a fresh setting and a thoroughly stable gaming experience should definitely give this a try. My wish for the future: I really hope the developers keep at it! More levels and regular updates would make the whole thing perfect.6 found this helpful

The Last Nordic Tribe is very atmospheric and there is a lot to explore! It reminds me of Morrowind where you have to explore to find your quest target. Fun game!1 found this helpful
A solid indie production.Pros:Thick, dark atmosphere and a great soundtrack. No hand-holding – you have to explore the world on your own.Interesting historical foundation (536 AD and the Great Winter).Simple but satisfying survival mechanics (campfire, cooking meat, fighting the cold).Cons:No option to change FOV/camera sensitivity in the settings (can make you dizzy at times).Slightly "clunky" combat feeling, but that's just the charm of indie games.A solid 8/10 for fans of Vikings and challenging solo survival.
