The Void Rains Upon Her Heart

130 hours in and I still haven't 100% the game. There are so many well-hidden secrets and achievements to grind for that there's always something left to discover. The amount of content is honestly impressive for the price. Definitely one of the most worthwhile games I've played in this price range. If you like exploring, finding secrets, and completing everything, this game is an absolute steal.

There's a reason why this game has such a strong base of positive reviews (no, it's not a cult). If you don't already have a favorite "bullet hell" then Void Rains will gently guide you into (literally) loving the genre. If seeing zillions of tiny deadly things on screen all at once gives you anxiety, Void Rains will give you as much space as you need to learn how to parse that information, and you can push yourself out of the nest whenever you're ready. If you're having trouble cracking the next-highest monster levels, you can pick lower-level ones and take it easy for a bit. And you won't be told that you're a gigantic baby for doing so. This game loves you!
