東方幻夢箋 ~ Touhou Phantasm Dream

A pretty fun touhou fangame! And a pretty hard one at that! This game bucks the normal 6 stage format and instead opts in for a 3 stage one, which each stage being a bit longer then your average touhou stage, and with each stage 2 and 3 having 2 midbosses instead of the normal 1 midboss per stage. Something I really like is that stage 1 and 2 is different for all 3 of the playable characters, with only stage 3 being the stage all 3 characters have in common. This gives you a reason to actually play every character if you want to see everything the game has to offer. The music in this game is also pretty damn great! I love all of the arranges this game has and it's original tracks are nothing scoff at either. My only complaint is that it's sadly not in english, but thankfully you don't need to understand whats going on to have fun with a SHMUP. A shame because I have a feeling it's story is interesting. Something to add in for anyone that is having controller problems. If the game is feeling odd for you, close the game and then disable steam input. That'll likely clear up any issues you might have. Really good fan-game. The soundtrack is superb and the visuals are great. Readability is pretty decent, some patterns have really nice colors. The difficulty isn't too steep but it's still fairly challenging. The gameplay is really faithful to the original game series.

I see bullet, I run into them, I ragequit. 10/10 gameplay loop

For a Chinese Touhou fan game this is pretty darn good! I'm having an absolute blast!
