[h1]Before I played vi.dange, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good[/h1]

Slightly philosophical, rather cheap looking, tiny Unity building with one small gallery consisting of lagging GIFs with some interesting synthie ambient sounds. There's some french text and a nice outro and menu and after about 3-5 minutes, that's about it. I think this developer should really just play "Occupy White Walls", as it's easily possible to achieve something like this, just bigger and better, in said game.

"vi.dange" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this "art experience". Instead of being a game, "vi.dange" is a software application that presents a poorly made art exhibition. This is a short art gallery where there's a number of embedded videos from various artists that the "developer" here is trying to get famous off the back of. We've got to assume the developer has permission to use this art in this crapfest, or that would probably be copyright infringement. We get this non-game shovelware on Steam whenever your usual Starbucks barista/McDonalds frycook art school dropout finally gets a restraining order from the local art galleries so turns to Steam Direct to try get their art published somewhere so they can finally dream of moving out of their parents basement. It's true that games can be art... art is where the pinnacles of craftsmanship and quality meet vision and narrative to create an experience far greater than the sum of the parts. This isn't a game at all, and the craftsmanship and narrative are terrible. This isn't making art better, it's just making gaming worse. For those unfamiliar with what act…
