Get them home! We need you to defend Billy and his crew as they make their way to the extraction zone at Drop City #237. The transport ship, Lockwood, was shot down and crash-landed on the desert planet Kernas! You’ve been authorized to use the defense system to escort them safely. Protect them from giant bugs, malfunctioning droids, and more…Their journey to safety will be depicted through a hand-drawn comic.
Make sure the enemy doesn’t breach the defensive gates, or Billy won’t make it home!
5 Base towers, each with its own function. Choose to upgrade them into one of two branching specializations, totaling 15 unique towers with their own special abilities. These can be upgraded even further! Will you burn your enemies with the flamethrower, or perhaps snipe them from afar? The choice is yours! You won’t have to rely solely on your towers—you can also use powerful abilities to get you out of tight spots! 48 unlockable skills to acquire! Earn medals based on your performance in missions and use those to unlock them. Get new active abilities or improve the ones you have already. Or maybe you prefer to upgrade the abilities of your towers? Notice that what you unlocked isn't working for you?
XENOBREAKERS: Classic Tower Defense is a strategy-focused tower defense game developed and published by Couch Potato Studios. As the title suggests, the game intentionally embraces the traditional mechanics of the tower defense genre while presenting them within a stylized science-fiction setting. Instead of drastically reinventing the formula, it focuses on delivering a polished version of the classic gameplay loop where players construct defensive structures, upgrade their arsenal, and survive increasingly dangerous waves of enemies. The result is a game that feels familiar to fans of tower defense titles while still offering enough features and visual personality to stand out among modern indie strategy games. The game’s narrative serves as a light framework that connects the various missions of the campaign. The story begins with the crash landing of a transport vessel known as the Lockwood on the hostile desert world of Kernas. The crew members who survive the crash are stranded in dangerous territory filled with alien creatures and environmental hazards. To make matters worse, rescue is not immediately available, leaving the survivors with only one option: travel across the …2 found this helpful
Ugh, the color palette is blah, the characters are blah, the scenery is blah the towers are basic and blah. The gameplay is blah (also slow) and even with the speed options it only goes from too slow or to too fast and it is just plain boringly boring and blah. Lots of b words... oh and it's bleck and bottomline it's just plain bad. Don't bother (another b word). One positive I can say is the price is good but not for a game you're not even going to continue to play.2 found this helpful
This is an average tower defense game with very charming graphics. I found there was a slight delay for inputs, not a deal breaker but not the best feeling. However, I had the first tutorial mission bug out on me. I killed everything, the game showed wave 5/5, but the mission did not finish and I was just stuck. Can't recommend.1 found this helpful
The bugs are ruining the experience for me. Skills do zero damage time to time, enemies get stuck on place and you have to use skills to kill them if the skills happen to deal damage, and selling towers give zero credits. From what I've gathered the game is relying heavily into player selling towers, but for me all towers show a text "sell for 0 credits" which is pretty devastating especially at the first boss level.
Just a boring game
