The game gave a weird taste. It is heavily referenced to ancient Greek but only the mystic not their civilization. Ancient Greek values the idea of family, friendship, and citizenship, not necessary ranked in that order, but generally, the responsibility to help a family member lies in the family, or family's friends. They dont even ask for militia, because the adult males in the family are militia. Asking a random stranger to help? Its a classic rpg logic but not so "Greeky" Yes, the ancient Greek gave us democracy, but no, ancient Greek doesn't have "profession citizen" "profession farmer" nor "professional soldier". You can vote, you can fight, you cant hold a spear? then no vote. Many philosophers are also soldiers, Plato, Aristotle, Socrates. Many of them even died in battle. So, a "profession citizen" protest that "professional soldier" failed to protect them? This is a very modern scenario, barely happen in late 17th or 18th, but certainly not, with ZERO chance it happened in ancient Greek. But, i assume its a 100% chance day to day life in a police station next door. Then last, a side quest that is waaaay off. The refugee asking for help? May against many people's imag…3 found this helpful
I bought it hoping it is just a solid foundation and that the game itself would be interesting. Instead, I got more of the same with minimal improvements. Game is still barebone and boring. I fell for the title and made a mistake. Never buy an early access.1 found this helpful
Could be one of the best arpg's ever, just needs devotion and support. Would be good if it ran 120fps with no issues, my 7800 x3d gets about 80fps at the moment1 found this helpful
My Overall score for the game in its current state is 4/10, this is a lengthy review but I love TQ1 and I need to properly explain my negative review as the developers claim they want to reach the same level and "exceed" the original but in its current form this game does not live up to the standards its predecessor has set and may never reach those standards. It does give a slightly similar vibe as TQ1 and tries to replicate the same feeling and gameplay loop as TQ1 but completely misses the mark. With the official release in January 2027 this game is not ready, a lot of balance issues, combat is stale, barely any room for spells or abilities (5 slots because Barrier, Dodge and you basic attack which are all pretty much not replaceable take up 3 of your 8 slots) so you basically are forces to play around a few spells/abilities, constant frame drops even when capping the game at 60 fps on Medium preset graphics it would for no reason would drop to 15 fps while also having permanent 30fps 1% lows which is clear indication of bad optimization. Loot table is bonkers, if you build a mage you will get 90% Epic items that is are NOT useful to you and the 10% you do get that could work …1 found this helpful
