Crimson Moon (2026)

Like who in the world came up or thought it would be a good idea to not let the players actually use your new gear once it's updated until whatever missions is needed before the developers say oh hey you've played enough now you can access the layout again to change your gear. Like seriously you have to be joking here. And I take none of these developers think that some of us actually have jobs or do things that we need to leave quickly for but not these developers. I lost hours of progress because I had to go into work quickly come back and guess what start all over baby. Some of us can't sit and play 6 to 8 hours straight in order to get a save. For gosh sakes what is wrong with developers anymore. But hey thumbs up to the ones that had these great ideas, look at the reviews totally worth it.

This is a cool game with alot of great Ideas, with some changes I could see this becoming a classic game that alot of people want to play. This game has an identity crisis it wants to be a roguelike but its design seems much better for something resembling the structure of Remnant 1 and 2. The elements feel so un cohesive that I believe they would be better ripping out the roguelike elements. The game revolves around picking up gear constantly, even after you have collected all of the gear in game. You can never unlock legendary gear only pick it up or buy it for the run your currently on. You can collect everything and get it to epic/purple but your chances of picking up the same gear or better gear with the perks you want on it are slim. The gear you collect comes back to you as common, and stripped of most perks. This makes a large amount of the gear Flavorless and pushes you into using the few pieces of gear that have meaningful synergies you can use. So you are forced to pick up new gear during the run to supplement your current build however as its RNG you may never find anything that suites what your going for. This is a great little game that could have been more successful, and more fun, if they'd released into early access or simply done less of the "from former Destiny developers" marketing. It's not healthy to keep doing that, as it creates expectations that as a smaller studio you just aren't going to meet. Lack of so many QOL things at launch like FOV, mouse sensitivity settings and the continuing issues with the camera really aren't terrible if you temper expectations. This is a fun game, and I do recommend it if you have any kind of interest in Darksiders, Souls likes and roguelikes. But despite the developers claiming the contrary, this is very much an early access title in it's current shape. It's not refined enough for me to consider it complete, especially when only this week are we seeing an update to resolve camera issues. I recommend it, but with a few too many asterisks.

The combat in this game needs work for sure, the I-frames and constant stagger on hits really make it hard to deal with. Maybe if they improve the combat it'll be worth a try but until then I'll be uninstalling.

Awesome little game, real fun BUT * combat is very clunky in my opinion, would love to see it much more fluently * when an enemy commits his attack to a direction, the npc should stay there and not change direction * to imbalaned: as soon as you find a good weapon (i.e. the "ice Scythe" with the cone) you sometimes one-shot elites, especially at the beginning of the game, BUT as long as you dont have it, you die over and over again
