About Darksiders Warmastered Edition

✦ AI summary

Embark as War, the Horseman of the Apocalypse, across a devastated Earth to uncover the truth behind your false accusation and exact vengeance on those who betrayed you. Combine brutal combat with supernatural powers, wield an ever-expanding arsenal of divine and demonic weapons, and ride your phantom steed Ruin through apocalyptic wastelands while battling both Heaven's forces and Hell's hordes.

Deceived by the forces of evil into prematurely bringing about the end of the world, War – the first Horseman of the Apocalypse – stands accused of breaking the sacred law by inciting a war between Heaven and Hell. In the slaughter that ensued, the demonic forces defeated the heavenly hosts and laid claim to the Earth.

Brought before the sacred Charred Council, War is indicted for his crimes and stripped of his powers. Dishonored and facing his own death, War is given the opportunity to return to Earth to search for the truth and punish those responsible.

Hunted by a vengeful group of Angels, War must take on the forces of Hell, forge uneasy alliances with the very demons he hunts, and journey across the ravaged remains of the Earth on his quest for vengeance and vindication.
  • Apocalyptic Power – Unleash the wrath of War, combining brutal attacks and
supernatural abilities to decimate all who stand in your way
  • Extreme Arsenal – Wield a devastating arsenal of angelic, demonic and Earthly
weapons; and blaze a trail of destruction atop Ruin, War’s fiery phantom steed
  • Epic Quest – Battle across the wastelands and demon-infested dungeons of the
decimated Earth in your quest for vengeance and redemption
  • Character Progression – Uncover powerful ancient relics, upgrade your weapons,
unlock new abilities, and customize your gameplay style
  • Battle Heaven and Hell – Battle against all who stand in your way - from war-weary
angelic forces to Hell’s hideous demon hordes

The presentation, acting, environment and character designs are all top notch and speak to a fantastic level of production. I really liked the dungeon exploration and puzzles. People say it's zelda-like, but I never played a zelda game before, so I can only speak to how well it works here: very. I just wish they had the foresight to not let you backtrack into spaces where there's nothing left to do, and even if there are collectibles about, you can only find most of them with new tools you find throughout the game. While the world is large and interconnected, your path through it is relatively linear, so I don't know why the couldn't just block these paths temporarily, or give you a one time warning like: "You journey leads elsewhere. You'll find little reward returning here at this time." Ignoring this, the game's only real blemish is the stilted combat. Just not enough moves or combat options. Even the ones you have can be finicky to perform in a practical way, but most weapons only perform a handful of combos, and a lot of enemies will literally wait their turn for you to hit them. Mid-sized guys are a little more ferocious, but the combat in general felt underwhelming after…

This game is... okay, i guess. First of all, Darksiders isn't bad, but i can't say it's good either. The thing is, this game is kinda old, being released in 2010 while the Warmastered version is a remaster from 2019, basically just a graphical update. And my issues come from the gameplay which's fruit from the 10's, so you probably see where this is going. I'll start by pointing out that the visuals of the game are amazing, they're well done and the enviroments are varied. Everything here is a feast to the eyes, as well as for the ears, since this soundtrack is pretty good. The exploration is also good, you have collectibles to upgrade War, the main character, and a "metroidvania" type of exploration, where you can unlock new abilities to explore previously locked areas. Now for the issues. The gameplay. It's serviceable... again, this is an old game and it shows. Walk around, explore and fight is just okay and a bit clunky. It's hard to explain, but War, the main character, feels like a brick, his movement and combos feel slow and heavy, you'd have to play or watch a playthrough to really understand what i'm talking about. And then there's the horse, Ruin, man... He is worst …

Great 360 era game but my god that final dungeon was gonna have me pulling my hair out soon. The beams.... redirect the beams... Fun and satisfying combat with a surprisingly interesting story that will make you want to keep unfolding, tossed in with the usual adventure hack and slash antics. Overall solid 7.5/10

Year 2015 i fell in love with g.o.w , since then not a single game has come close to my heart....But year 2026 i stumbled upon Darksider series....I freaking fell in love with the game , i found myself genuinely invested in both the gameplay and the world. Darksiders reminded me why I fell in love with action-adventure games in the first place.

Darksiders I is one of those games that you play once and you can't seem to stop thinking about small little parts. Whether it be the fun tools and weapons you get to use as you traverse a beautifully crafted post-apocalyptic, suburban, fantasy, dreamscape. The world is easily my favorite part of the Darksiders games and this is the best one, so if you like world building, youre in for a treat. The world of Darksiders sees humans thrown into a conflict between angels, demons, monsters, and weird mashup of all three, the Nephilim. You play as War (my favorite of the four horsemen that you play as throughout the series) and he is one of these Nephilim. Your job as War is to navigate multiple Zelda inspired, highly thematic dungeons and try to redeem yourself to the Charred Council, a mysterious entity that commands the horsemen. The combat is spectacular and feels exactly like God Of War I, crisp and precise. Add to that some tools can be used in combat and you'll find yourself unable to put the game down. This game is the highlight of the franchise and I recommend it to anyone who wants a good fantasy world to play around in!
