Omelet You Cook

reminds me of Balatro and Papa's Pizzeria in all the best ways. the gameplay loop is addicting without incremental mechanics that many roguelikes these days will use. experimenting with ingredients is always fun and makes the process of getting the "big number" incredibly rewarding. TLDR: game is worth it for the title alone

This is a good rogue-like; had a lot of fun with it. Multiple characters to choose from as you progress each with their own "deck" of ingredients. You earn money and can purchase new items (adding modifiers) or ingredients to your "deck" that combo and interact with each other in various ways. The core gameplay is placing the ingredients in the most point advantageous way to progress through each round. Kept coming back to it and never got frustrated with it.

A really fun blend of Balatro style roguelikes with a cooking and dexterity game!

The best omelet making roguelike ever made. In all seriousness, omelet you cook is genuinely a fun number building roguelike with some real time elements that gives it a unique flavor and keeps the game active. The higher difficulties feel fair and mostly scale the challenge in interesting ways. It does have a the problem that many point-builders can fall into in that some runs can feel dead from round 1 due to shop RNG, (especially with some of the more gimmicky starting pantries), but since runs are quick it's not much a deal breaker. Add in some catchy music, satisfying sound design, and cute characters and you got yourself a recommend in my book. Maybe not as meaty as something like Balatro, but eggcellent non the less.
