Ozymandias: Bronze Age Empire Sim

Can't recommend at all. The gameplay is totally clumsy and highly illogical. This has absolutely nothing to do with a 4X strategy game, it's much more akin to mobile games were you push sliders around. Even on low difficulties, the computer always seems to cheat. It's faster at expanding, faster at achieving goals, all the while it also has more military power, all of which is contradicting itself because you as the player can't be great at all of it simultaneously, it's just against the games rules. The most annoying thing is military power. It's directly dependant on the money you DIDN'T spend at the end of a round. Which leads to the following situation: Don't spend money on anything > Strong army (But you will cripple your economy and expansion) Spend money > Weak army (But better economy and expansion) Basically if you buy upgrades, your army will throw away it's weapons. Stupid. Why can't you zoom in on the map??? Why is there no wide screen support? Why can't you skip the damn tutorial? This game is infuriating!

Very simple but hard to master at times. Who knew such a simple game I could spend days on. Wish the win conditions were more custom at times sometimes short but not a grind. This critism is me being picky so simple but enjoyable.

Very well constructed game. I've never run into bugs or performance issues, and the game design feels like it all just makes sense. Obviously fun in a board game way too! I recommend it.

A great game on discount, 4x less the exploration, reminiscent of the old windows castle hex game but with basic technology and economics thrown in. Worth adding to your library of games you can finish in an hour or two. Recommended.

If you look for a simple strategy game, yet deep enough to spend time trying to understand it wholy, then Ozymandias is for you.
