About Trans-Siberian Railway Simulator
Trans-Siberian Railway Simulator puts you in control of a powerful VL10 locomotive traversing 840 km of 1:1-scale Russian rail in the grim late '80s, where you'll manage realistic train operations, survival mechanics, and an economy based on cargo trading and hunting. Choose your own path from honest rail work to mafia-fueled crime while battling blizzards, mechanical failures, hunger, and rivals in a harsh open world.
Take control of a Soviet locomotive and embark on a dangerous journey along the world's longest railway line. Face mafia rivals, bandits, wild animals, constant breakdowns, severe frosts, hunger, and... a hangover. How far will you get before your supplies run out?

Trans-Siberian Railway Simulator offers engaging early-access train simulation with realistic mechanics, responsive controls, and a good mix of driving, maintenance, and story missions that players find satisfying. However, some players encounter severe pacing issues with extremely long travel segments lacking meaningful gameplay, creating tedious stretches that can last many real-world hours and undermine the otherwise solid foundation.
Pretty sure that dev has stopped and that this game has been abandoned. It's not finished and without a substantial update for over a year it's pretty unlikely that it is going to be.5 found this helpful
Mixed feelings — great start, incredibly boring later The game was actually pretty cool at the beginning. Shooting, missions, and driving the train yourself made it feel like a really interesting combination. But then I got a mission where I had to earn 5,000 rubles, while normal missions only give you around 200–500 rubles. And now I’ve been driving the train for 10 real-life hours and I STILL haven’t reached the station I’m supposed to get to. For 10 hours, I’ve basically done nothing except drive forward and occasionally turn the power off or do some other tiny task. There’s no real gameplay during these long journeys. It’s just 10 hours of sitting there and waiting. The beginning was fun, but this completely killed the experience for me. I don’t mind realistic train driving, but when a mission requires you to spend 10+ real-life hours doing almost nothing, that’s not realism anymore — it’s just boring. The game had a lot of potential, but these extremely long and uneventful train journeys seriously need to be changed.4 found this helpful
Overall this is a pretty enjoyable game to play, even in early access form. The game can be as chill (no pun intended) as you like...if you just want to drive a train across Siberia, you can. If you want to play mafia missions during your trip to add some excitement, you can. You can maintain the train yourself or let a mechanic do it for you (for a price). It'll be interesting to see what extras the devs add to the game before its initial release...seems there are several things you can stumble upon now that suggest lots more will be added. I do hope they allow players different levels of realism when it comes to the train though...seems to be a pretty complicated piece of machinery to keep an eye on in full realism mode.1 found this helpful
Surprisingly in-depth train sim with survival elements and repair. like a rudimentary Derail Valley with survival/repair and story missions in close to an immersive sim. The joystick support is limited but i was able to use Joy2Key to map controls to a side panel. The elements are very simplified but work well together to make an engaging and fun game. The braking is some of the best ever.1 found this helpful
Driving a loco seems and feels very natural due to same appearance, genuine station views, similar train sounds, so if you're a railroad fan, the game is definitely for you. Sometimes loco controls are far from reality, e.g. brakes control acts absolutely different rather than in a iron loco. Nevertheless, the game is a must.
The game is good, commrade.
