Travellers Rest

I could not rate this game any physically higher. I'm not one to typically write reviews, but this game....has me in an absolute chokehold, it is everything I could have dreamed of and more. entirely self sufficient and lots of side things you can do to make the tavern better if you get bored! I want more games like this- I would sell my soul. Every single itch in my brain has been scratched by this game. I will gnaw on cement bricks until I find more games like this. Im so happy. I need to Play more-- see ya in the tavern!

best game ever

I don't usually write reviews, so I hope that adds some weight to this one. I have over 100 hours in this game, and I don't feel bored even now. I love the idea of farming to supply your own little tavern, and I think that the variety of dishes and drinks as well as perks and building makes it all the more addicting. The pixel graphics and dialogue/things npcs say are charming. I would love to see the caverns fleshed out more, but that is all I can really think of atm. I would love to see even more areas, dishes, and expansions in the full release, which I will be eagerly awaiting. I hope that the developers don't abandon this game!

I love the main game loop of tending your crops, bringing in the harvest, cooking dishes with your ingredients and then making sure you're serving all the patrons in a speedy manner. The process of upgrading your establishment does feel like a bit much of a grind, especially when you take into account having to head out to the gathering points for lumber, coal and metal in the world, but other than that, just a lot of fun.

Awesome game!!!

I have played this game on 3 separate occasions. I already knew they had perfected their game loop in the tavern during my 1st play through, back in March 2024. I played it again ~1 year later, and was astounded to see how much they had added beyond your little place. I then played again April 2026. The only thing that made me quit each time was my tavern got so large that it began to compromise my framerate, which made me horribly motion-sick. The moment they fix that, I’m pretty sure I’ll add another 100-150 or so hours on top of my current 100 hrs of playtime.
