Hey, so this game does not run. Like at all. Fix your buggy cash cow please.
While I love the game and have played over 200 hours with friends. I primarily play this as a multiplayer game. Since the recent updates there are major issues with bugs. The primary one we are running into is anytime we enter a town we seem to desync or have major lag whenever actions are taken to the point that we have to stop the game, or just skip towns entirely. If these can be resolved, I'd change my review to a positive one. But as it stands the game is basically broken.
Man it is so worth the time to build your characters and town up. If you're anything like me and you like 'numbers go up' this is that but with such a slow build up. I totally understand the mixed reactions, but gameplay wise it's solid imo
The multiplayer desync means this is currently a single player game. Too bad I was playing it with friends nightly. We're going elsewhere for a while. Hope they fix it. I can't even imagine how to bug it out this bad.
This is a really fun game! For your first few runs I'd recommend having at least one other person but once you get the hang of it going through solo is a lot of fun. Even with just the base game the amount of team ups and different characters leads to endless fun.
Similar to Slay the Spire but a level up in complexity
