Age of Wonders Shadow Magic

This is the one they should remaster. I love these older fantasy strategy games as they are lean and mean, no bs straight up gameplay. I've played the newer iterations too but those are so slow and bloated and I'm more in favor with pixel graphics than the typical 3d that is everywhere. Maybe make a pack of Age of Wonder 1, 2 and Shadow Magic with few modern touches, upscale the graphics yadayada. I would buy that, yes, more likely than I would buy AoW 5.

it is an alright game , publisher though is political , ♥♥♥♥ company which will bring down everything it touches.

Ignore the negative reviews, some turkroach got banned off the Hearts of Iron IV Discord for using some sus Politian literally nobody cares about as his pfp, so they're bot raiding all Discord servers for Paradox games and review-bombing them. Considered by many to be the best entry in the series, give it a try.

A classic game that has pulled weeks from my life without regrets.

I'm heavily biased when it comes to this one. I played through the campaign, I would dare hundreds of times, and I'll still download it from time to time to get one more run. It's a great title, that as other AoW is focused a bit on story, alongside the main pillar, so lovely strategy game. It's a shame, that in next titles they didn't embrace more global spells and stationary main characters, that you could "dock" and use a main powerhouse when it comes to magic. Despite age, it's a good title, that you can still spend with a couple hours! Or more! PS For higher resolution look for mods!

best RTS game ever made
