About Anima Flux
Anima Flux is a co-op metroidvania with two genetically enhanced soldiers, special agents of a theocratic dictatorial regime. Fight your way through swarms of mutants through a desolate, dystopian space city and save humanity's last stronghold, if, of course, anyone is still alive...
The only human city located on the space ark is subjected to an organized mutant invasion. For the sake of survival, a theocratic totalitarian regime sends its best troops to rescue the city and eliminate the threat.
Take control of two elite soldiers, combine their unique abilities and skills. Finesse your way around through the most ferocious foes. Act bravely and fearlessly. After all, you can trick death, by transferring your anima with the latest implant technology. Don’t get consumed by fear of death, because the truth is grimmer.

Co-Op Metroidvania

The game is hurt a little by having local only co-op and not online coop, but with some third party programs and one person buying the game, you can sort of get around that. Outside of that, there are some decisions that are a little questionable, and the melee character seemed mostly useless or at least at a significant disadvantage in almost every combat situation which is a shame. There are a lot of things that this game could benefit from, some small examples being destructible objects dropping currency, having less rewardless paths and platforms, and having some more unique upgrades. The objectives are also a little off, it's hard to know what is required and what's not until you hit a hard stopping point and realize the random side quest you accepted and did not complete is actually the reason why the game is disproportionately hard and confusing (Story was rough). There's also one room in particular with three power switches which may have been the most miserable back tracking experience I've ever had in any game ever. Game is very close to being incredible, just needs a few minor tweaks honestly, but will have to give it just an above average rating. I think I'd still re…2 found this helpful

A fun co-op adventure. My only complaint is that the melee character sometimes feels a little useless until the ranged one clears the room, especially at the beginning of the game. This improves later on. Despite this issue it's a highly recommended game. Co-op feature in metroidvanias is super rare, so we cherished every moment and had a blast with Anima Flux.
