A poor stonecutter notices the lifestyles of those higher in the social hierarchy and wishes to become them. A spirit hears his plea and grants his wish. Despite having his wish granted, The Stonecutter is still unsatisfied and wishes for more. He dreams to become more powerful by embodying the forces of nature. Decide The Stonecutter's fate by choosing what he should wish for! This is the ENHANCED Steam version of our Visual Novel that was released on Nintendo's Wii U.
Brave Rock Games is an independent organization that makes interactive software for young audiences. Our current goal is to bring classic stories to digital platforms. We believe reading is fundamentally important to any child's growth. Some children dislike reading due to lack of visuals. We are bringing visual story tales to these children. We have learned that disabled gamers, also enjoy our software due to simplicity of the controls and production value. Lastly, many adults have approached us to give thanks for creating an application they can enjoy with their child.

The Stonecutter, a visual novel recently released by Brave Rock Games on Steam, is a faithful retelling of an ancient Asian folk tale. The Stonecutter is a simple tradesman, who works hard every day. One day, however, he meets an ancient spirit who can change his life. The reader then gets to choose the Stonecutter's path through the story. There are several different decisions to make, each affecting the Stonecutter's ultimate experience in the story. For a short Visual Novel, The Stonecutter is quite customizable. You can choose whether to hear the story read aloud, or read it yourself. You control the speed you go through the story. You make choices, and can go back to see what happens with the options you didn't choose. You can even save how far you've gone through the story, and come back to continue it at another time. The graphics are a nice combination of hand-drawn and photographic images, with appropriate background music and sound effects you can turn on or off. The user interface is very clean, and easy to understand and use. It takes 30 seconds to beat the whole, it looks like ahh, the programming probably took like 30 minutes, and yet, I had to pay money for this, where is the quality control?
