Players are sharply divided on this game, with the central point of contention being jump mechanics and mid-air control—some report it was broken and remains unfixed, while others claim it has been corrected and works well with proper pressure sensitivity support. Beyond this, critics pan the game as poorly made shovelware with bad pixel art, balance issues, and weak controls, comparing it unfavorably to superior alternatives like Vagante or Catacomb Kids.
This game had promise, but the way jump works ruins the entire experience. You have zero control over your character in mid-air. Despite many people complaining about this, the dev remained stubborn and decided to keep it that way. If that were changed, it might be a fun game, but that won't ever happen. Just play Vagante or Catacomb Kids instead.4 found this helpful
Just wanted give a thumbs up. This game has many bad reviews saying the Jump function did not work. Stating "you cannot control your character while air born". That seems to have been fixxed. I played on both controller and key board and I was able to manipulate the trajectory of my jump mid flight. Even Pressure sensitivity was working on the 360 controller. For anyone else who doesn't know what that it is, because you play on some other controller. It means, If you tap jump lightly you go a little high. If you press jump as hard as you can like your life depends on it and hold down on it down like you are trying to stop a load from popping off, you go higher and gain more hang time. It is difficult. It does feel like a Vania type game no doubt. hanging from the walls, cheese killing sprites from behind some vector that prevents you from being hit. It is difficult. It will fit nicely into my home arcade system. Hope this helps for any one looking to purchase this in 20251 found this helpful

Nice looking concept but suffers from difficulty and balance issues. Also, the controls aren't very nice. It's Ok, but not that ok.
This is yet another low quality shovelware retro 2d pixel platformer amongst quite literally thousands of others infesting Steam. This one is particularly badly made, while it almost tries not to be a retro game at all. For example, there's support for multiple resolutions, but no proper HD support (despite being released in 2015). But supporting multiple resolutions is a tacit admission from the developers that their game does not feature graphics that meet the minimum standards of contemporary PC gaming. Putting my console peasant millennial hat on for a minute (I had to club a zoomer to death for this with his own ironic Gameboy), the retro art is extremely bad. If the devs ever played any of those games from the 1990's that they're aping badly, they would see the artwork looks nothing like what they slapped together here. This is pretty much a failure on all levels, it even fails at being bad on purpose as most 2D retro pixel platformers try to do. Impossible to recommend.
