Underrated Gem – Double Dragon Revive Deserves More Love I went into Double Dragon Revive not expecting much, especially given the mixed reception—but honestly, I came away really impressed. This game is criminally underrated. At its core, it captures that classic Double Dragon feel: straightforward, satisfying beat-’em-up combat with a modern touch. The controls feel tight, the hits have weight, and there’s something genuinely fun about chaining combos and clearing out waves of enemies the old-school way. It doesn’t try to overcomplicate things, and that works in its favor. Visually, the game has a clean, stylized look that fits the series while still feeling updated. The environments and character designs aren’t groundbreaking, but they’re cohesive and give the game personality. The soundtrack also does a solid job of keeping the energy up during fights. What really stands out is how much better the game feels than people give it credit for. A lot of the criticism seems exaggerated—once you actually spend time with it, you realize there’s a lot of fun to be had here. It may not reinvent the genre, but it doesn’t need to. Fun game.
I love Double Dragon games growing up but they have yet to make a great game in the modern time of now. The last game Neon sucked and I was scared to try this one because of the latest games have sucked. I was surprised with this one. I ended up liking it and out of all the ones been made, this one is the closest to a real Double Dragon game. I seen one on the Neo Geo call Double Dragon One, which looks really good but have no idea of how to play it. This game is not perfect but is way better than the last games. I give it a 7.5 out of 10. The graphics are pretty good and soundtrack is cool. I owuld love to see Arcsystems make a 2d hand drawn double dragon game that looks like anime. A game that duplicates the classic game but with a modern touch.
Actually really cool game. I understand people only like to play Fortnite and CS2 these days. I guess new generation don't really know what good game is anymore.. But maybe try to not to think much and enjoy the game. Great effects music is fantastic. Great combo effects. Level design is really unique and beautiful. Yeah you can find few bugs in the game but it's not that bad compared to other bus simulators i've played before. Netplay code is not bad you can have good experience even if the other guy has 160ms ping. Game is way better than double dragon neon for sure. Good game to chill with friends or family. Just use Xbox one controller for best experience. Deluxe edition is a bit expensive but if you can find cheaper deal then yeah game is worth the money.
