About Familiar - Battle of the Labyrinth
In this game, Familiar: Battle of the Labyrinth, you will embark on a treacherous journey through a large and mysterious labyrinth. You will need to summon all the familiars you have to fight a large number of powerful creatures that guard the labyrinth's secrets. Your goal in the labyrinth is to find what lies at the end by fighting through automated battles during which you strategize the best way to defeat your enemies. As you travel through the game, you will find more familiars to fight by your side in battle. In addition, you will have the chance to explore new and interesting locations and find collectibles rare and unique to bring back with you. Do you think you will be able to figure out the secret at the end? or will your story end here, and be forever forgotten?

Familiar - Battle of the Labyrinth is a student project from DigiPen. One of the first things students should be taught in game development is that 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid 1990's with dedicated 3D cards like the Voodoo3 and the ATI Rage. But the students were deliberately mistaught that's it's okay to release obsolete 2D games in the 3D era of gaming... and certainly and professional developer seeing a prospective new hire who doesn't even know about 3D gaming probably isn't going to give them a job. Needless to say if an educational institution taught me incorrectly on purpose, I'd ask for my money back. This kinda looks like they let elementary school kids into DigiPen. This "I can't belive it's not Adobe Flash" game is really primitive... just drop down your critters and fight, tap on some cards to collect them... was this supposed to be a mobile app or something? Why is this on Steam? Not to make gaming better, that's for sure. Once more, developers have put themselves before gamers and as a result we have another woefully bad product with no value whatsoever for gamers to deal with. A simple, quick auto battling game that is fairly easy once you figure out that there is a right and wrong way to place units and select battles. There are 3 types of units (offensive, defensive, speed) which are strong/weak against each other when placed 1v1, akin to rock-paper-scissors. Not super deep or complex to play, but I like the ideas behind it.
I feel like this game could go somewhere, Right now it's barely a blueprint but. there is a concept, just not sure what else exists beyond that.
Dont waste your time. Its easy, and only about 10 minutes of content
