For Evelyn is an intriguing tale of love, betrayal, and the ultimate sacrifice. The story takes us into the fantasy world of Aura, a place of magic and mysteries. It has been about 700 years since Arcanbreak, a cataclysmic event that changed the world forever. You'll be playing as Yohanna, Evelyn's mother. She’s a strong-willed character, and throughout the game, she will realize how far she is willing to go to protect the ones she loves. With emotional backstories and a powerful, moving musical score, For Evelyn will draw the player in and refuse to let go.

A passionate, 6-8 hour indie RPG. There's very little combat, mostly dialogue-based and some light puzzles. Can be a little cheesy at times, but that's part of the wholesome charm alongside its funny references, cute characters, and great ambitions. The story hooked me pretty quickly, and had a few moments that really surprised me. Everything moves at a great pace, voice acting was wonderful, and the low difficulty means it's stress-free and you can 100% it blind. Keen for the sequel! Note: I've seen some posts calling this an RPGM game, it's NOT.3 found this helpful

Egomaniac like i am i got this game bc my name's evelyn... But it was also one of my first "rpgmaker"-kind of games and it was a nice ease into the genre. Theres a lot less fighting than the trailer makes it seem though. All in all its short and pretty good, ending was a bit unsatisfactory but otherwish i enjoyed it!3 found this helpful
So this was a tough one because I really enjoyed the game until the very end. But the game ends in a horrible cliffhanger and the sequel will be a a first person 2.5D Game, so something completley different which means I will never know how the story continues. It is not a bad game but since the ending leaves you unsatisfied I sadly can not recommend it. Which is sad because the mechanics are nice, the characters interesting and the VA on point.1 found this helpful
For Evelyn was definitely a lovely experience overall. Interesting story and worldbuilding, lots of fun exploring and rewarding sidequests, and hell of a good voice acting! The story ended in a massive cliffhanger so I'm very excited for the sequel!1 found this helpful
For the price of the game, it was a high-quality RPG that explored interesting concepts of romance, betrayal, and intentions. The game's combat is not its strong suit, so if you are looking for an RPG that has strong combat, I'd look elsewhere. the time I played, about 8 or so hours, was definitely well spent and interesting. I wish they did more with the voice acting, as it seemed to be slightly inconsistent as some of the dialogue seemed to have voice acting and then at other times when you were expecting voice acting, there was none. Quality game, not the best but definitely can see the passion and storytelling. I am excited to try the sequel, "For Evelynn II - Shards of Creation". hopefully, they have improved their weaknesses and made the voice acting more expected.
