To be completely honest, I haven't played a breakout game in ... probably 20 years. It's fair to say that I love the idea of breakout games more than actually playing them, probably out of nostalgia that dates back to my childhood (which was a good bit longer ago than 20 years). I'm not sure how many hours I'll put into this, or how soon that will happen, but from what I've seen so far, this is definitely a very well executed implementation of breakouts basic idea. There are lots of powerups and -downs. Trying to catch a ball with your shrunken paddle or when you accidentally slowed it down (snail, grrr!) is a challenge and feels rewarding. Graphics, music and sound effects are not going to win any prices, but they're absolutely doing the job. I like that the game is not as unforgiving as arcade games of old used to be. If you want to spend some time relaxing and enjoying nice music, this game is the right choice for you! Easy game-play, I like the thing that you can play it with one hand, every level is different and colourful, a lot of different and unique buffs & debuffs (sometimes you don't understand what's going on there :D). I'm not a big fan of such games, but this one impressed me and the good thing is, it has achievements, that I really like!2 found this helpful

Classic game play with clever (and devious) buffs / de-buffs. Good graphics. An inexpensive and fun nostalgia journey worth taking.
