✦ AI summary

Players praise this RPG Maker game for its surprising depth and content, with many noting the engaging characters whose personality flaws translate into interesting mechanical quirks that set it apart from standard RPG formulas. Common complaints center on the excessive dialogue, linear design, and lack of post-game content, with some finding the fixed four-character party and story-heavy approach not to their taste despite the substantial playtime offered.

This is honestly a pretty amazing game, don't let the RPG Maker graphics fool you, the game has as much content as AAA open world RPGs. The game description said that the expected playtime is around 10 hours for act 1 and 50 for act 2. I finished the game in around 90 hours though. Heroines of Swords & Spells 2 includes the content of the first game, so you can jump straight in without getting the first game (though the first game is free and works more as a demo of sorts). It is an open world turn based RPG with a preset party of four characters that you can't change. While you can't change your party or their classes, the equipment you find and the skills/spells you unlock give you a decent amount of customization, you can make your warrior a tank, a dps, or a support, for example. Since you are not limited by classes, you can easily change your strategy at any point in time, certain abilities require certain weapons to use, and certain spells deal more damage with certain equipment, but outside of that, there isn't anything preventing you from turning your healer into a dps, for example. If you like tons of choices in your games, this is the game for you, there are tons of tim…

Heroines of Swords & Spells 2 is an entertaining homage to classic turn-based Japanese role-playing games that succeeds by embracing the charm of old-school adventure design while adding its own humorous personality. Developed and published by Kirillkrm, the game avoids chasing modern trends in favor of a traditional fantasy experience centered on exploration, strategic combat, and character-driven storytelling. Instead of presenting legendary heroes destined for greatness, it follows an unlikely group of inexperienced adventurers whose flaws and constant mishaps become one of the game's greatest strengths. This refreshing approach creates a lighthearted atmosphere that distinguishes the sequel from more serious fantasy RPGs while still delivering a lengthy and rewarding journey. The story introduces four heroines who are far from the fearless champions players might expect. A timid warrior, an absent-minded mage, a gullible thief, and an underperforming priestess form an unconventional team that frequently finds themselves in situations beyond their abilities. Their shortcomings generate plenty of comedic moments, but the writing ensures they develop into genuinely likable charac…

Wonderful RPG Maker game. You play as the titular 4 heroines: a thief who's too pure of heart for her profession, a warrior who's a complete coward, a wizard who (at first) doesn't know any spells, and a priestess who's so morally challenged her healing spell heals for exactly one (1) HP. Lead this team of unlikely heroes to great things. The characters' flaws play out mechanically. If you have money, the thief will leave it behind when you try to rob certain houses or give it away to certain npcs. The warrior will get hit by the fear status effect and become useless if her hp dips too low or you encounter certain enemies (if you get her drunk she'll get back into the action at the cost of being temporarily uncontrollable). The wizard literally starts the game with zero spells. Finally, the priestess will never, ever be good at healing, forcing you to chug healing potions to survive. Story-wise, the party has a great dynamic with eachother, which is part of the fun of the game. Gameplay wise, Heroines of Swords & Spells is inspired by JRPGs, but cuts out some of the fat by making non-boss enemy encounters basically a waste of time and resources. There's no point grinding rats or…
