This is based on an old Atari game. It was also on Window 3.1 but only the shareware version exists. Its good Iguess.
Warning: Asset Flip! "Hex Slayer" is one of literally thousands of creatively bankrupt asset flips infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere.
This is a turn based strategy game (albeit a shallow and simple one) with a bunch of character art assets ripped off from popular free online character packs. Which the developer then slapped a price tag on so he could get YOUR money for someone else's game assets. This is never okay. So, "Hex Slayer" is partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Little, if anything in this game is the creation of the "developer". A strong accusation, so of course I come bearing proof. Here's an example of one of the stolen/plagiarised art assets, the Medieval Knight that was really created by TokeGameArt... and this guy wants YOUR money for TokeGameArt's work. Appalling, isn't it? Most of the assets for the game were ripped off from TokeGameArt's character packs. While there's no up front price for this as…

Edit: I am not sure if I would recommend this game. The rules are more complex than antiyoy (a similar game) in a non-fun way. I can't get passed level 4 or 5. The fun is gone. Old review: Easy to learn abstract turn based strategy game. Goal: conquer the map. I think the gameplan is a balance between defending (at the cost of expansion) and expanding/attacking (at the cost of spreading too thin and losing territory). Plays like Antiyoy (App Store/Google Play), but with slightly different rules (for example: you can place a unit anywhere on the map, no distance restriction).
