HOOD RPG, developed and published by Cosmic Edge Gaming, is an unconventional indie role-playing game that builds its identity around chaotic humor, exaggerated scenarios, and a deliberately unfiltered tone. While it adopts the familiar structure of a classic pixel-style RPG—complete with exploration, turn-based combat, and party progression—it quickly sets itself apart through its writing, which leans heavily into satire and absurdity. It’s a game that prioritizes personality and unpredictability over refinement, creating an experience that feels intentionally rough around the edges but consistently distinctive. The story follows a group of unlikely characters navigating a chaotic, crime-filled environment after a dramatic escape, setting the stage for a journey that rarely takes itself seriously. Rather than focusing on a tightly structured narrative, the game presents a sequence of loosely connected events driven by humor and unexpected twists. A short but unforgettable JRPG that clearly comes from a place of passion. The gameplay sticks to classic turn-based combat, but the humor and weirdness set it apart. The game constantly throws unexpected moments at you, from bizarre characters to over-the-top quests. For the price, it’s more than worth it. Definitely something unique in today’s gaming scene!

This game is absolutely unhinged in the best way possible. If you’re into dark humor and RPGs, this is a perfect mix. The dialogue and items are so outlandish that you’d never see anything like this in a mainstream release. Indie devs aren’t afraid to take risks, and it shows. The opening cutscene had me cracking up, and I knew I had to keep playing. Can’t wait to sink more time into it when I get the chance!

Will put more hour into this game. Trust me if you love dark humor, rpgs and want a mix of the too here you go. From the items to the dialogue. This is something youll never see in a AAA game. Love that indies arent playing it safe and going beyond that. The first cutscene make me laughed too hard that was my hook. Wanted to play more but with work I said Ill give it some more tome this weekend
