About Myriads: Renaissance

Myriads: Renaissance is a turn-based strategy game with city-building and 4X mechanics. Set in a fantasy world made up of thousands of floating islands, you must grow your capital and expand your kingdom. Resist waves of powerful corsairs and construct defence towers to survive their incursions.

What is Myriads?

A lite city-builder where you grow your capital and manage its resources.
A lite 4X including survival and tower defence mechanics.
An easy-to-learn but hard-to-master game with multiple game modes for additional challenges.

A run takes 3-4h to complete…

…but don’t expect to win on your first try! Play again!

What will you do in Myriads?

⚒️ Build: Extend your capital island by chaining shards of various biomes and manage its resources.
🗺️ Explore: Travel into a procedurally generated archipelago of floating islands.
👑 Rule: Establish and manage new colonies. Export resources to your Capital Island and trade goods for gold.
🛡️ Survive: Resist waves of powerful corsairs. Construct defence towers to survive their incursions.
⚔️ Conquer: Send out your galleons to destroy corsair strongholds and conquer new territories.
⚛️ Research: Unlock new technologies by exploring the world and gathering ancient secrets.

Note from the devs:

As a small 2 person team, our goal isn’t to make the next big 4X game. Instead, we took a different approach and focused on delivering a shorter, more intense gameplay experience. Myriads: Renaissance is our personal contribution to the genre, and if you like the idea of a small but challenging 4X game with city-builder and tower defence mechanics then Myriads: Renaissance is the game for you!
"Extend your capital island by chaining shards of various biomes and sizes."
"Resist waves of powerful corsairs. Construct defence towers to survive their incursions."

Only recommend it at a major discount. 20$ for a game you'll tire of in a couple hours is way too much. That said, what content there is, is fun. Cool idea, average realization, no replayability. Scratches the 4x itch for an evening, but desperately needs more content to do the price justice.

This is a nice little strategy game. It's simple, so it's easy to get into, and finishing a play through is not too long. I noticed that the reviews are rather mixed though. I believe the main "missing" ingredient would be nice graphics. They are already fine, functional, but I guess some eye candy could get a long way to lure less experienced players into the universe, and to let more experienced ones less frustrated when they discover that it is "just" a simple game. Which, in my world, is a good thing.

A bite-sized game that you can take yourself into a few times and enjoy. There are definitely improvements that could be made, but the underlying core has something interesting. I would love to see this concept with 1v1 multiplayer.

This game has a demo so it allows you to try it before buying. I did and I liked it. Typically, I like more complex games, and this one while simple got into me: you can relax and try different scenarios to find your way. Allows you to relaxed and enjoy a simple game play after a hard day.

This game was another total disappointment. I want to relax when I play a game. This was not relaxing the constant clock in the corner with an attack coming. Not only that though the tutorial seemed pretty good parts were a bitty strange. Money is a big issue in this game. You have to move fast and spend but not to much or to fast. To much of a perfect balance to like. Sorry seems like one of those you have to know the perfect formula to play and I want fun

Very shallow 4x game, I found it boring.
