I originally was asked to give feedback and cover this game on stream, and I was offered a key for it, the game was janky and didn't work properly but it was in early access, I gave my feedback in private to the developers, but it seems like not only the issues with combat, map movement and etc were not fixed, but they also clawed back my original key. The combat feels weird and unresponsive, sometimes after loading your character is glitched and you cannot attack at all, enemies sometimes don't respect invincibility frames, map is confusing and convoluted, in short the game mechanically is a mess. On the positive side, the game has decent graphics, has a different theme than most games and the majority of it is voice acted, that being said I cannot recommend the game by itself, especially due to how the company handles their business. I played this game for around 5-6 hours before release, but the time will now show here as 5 minutes is the minimum required time to leave a review, so I purchased the game, to let you all know to stay away from not only this game, but also the company, if they scammed me for free coverage, you can be next with an unfinished product that they migh…14 found this helpful
This had the potential to be a fairly decent game. The story was somewhat interesting and some of the mechanics were fairly unique. It's May 2026, and the last update for the game was in July of 2024. Seems like the game has been finished for a while, right? Spoiler - the game is *not* finished. This should be Early Access, not a full release. The "Roadmap" released by the developers shows "More Main Quests, More Abilities" coming in October 2024, another major release in May 2025, and even more features beyond that. They never arrived. After a few miscellaneous adventures, you arrive at what appears to be the main quest of the game, which seems to be to retrieve four objects, each associated with one of the four classical elements, from four different areas. After finishing the first area, a dialog box popped up saying "To be continued...". The quest for this area did not complete, and there is nowhere else to go. I have literally reached the end of the content. Attempting to leave a zone for an unfinished zone pops up an empty dialog box. I thought at first maybe this meant "you aren't ready for this area yet", but apparently it also means the area isn't impl…1 found this helpful
I really wanted to like this but I just find the experience of playing it very unenjoyable. The art style is lovely and the story is intriguing with some great voice-acting and amusing dialogue. It's a shame then that playing the game is an exercise in frustration with exceedingly dated mechanics I thought had been left in the 8-bit era of platformers. You have a metroidvania with a map that doesn't actually tell you anything about that place your in currently nor does it give you clear detail about where you have been with only the amount of map section you have completed (completion being how many urns and jars you've smashed). You have stats you can upgrade but no indication of what these stats do. You pick up gems that appear to upgrade your character but an interface that makes it very difficult and unintuitive to do so. Healing items can be picked up from smashing the jars that litter the world but they are a one-time only pick up with you relying on a shop to buy more (at least there is some fast travel). The game itself has some uninspired combat and the exploration is not encouraged because of arbitrary dead-ends and yet you need to explore because it's never made clear w…1 found this helpful
There is no explanation to anything in this game, this game is beyond frustrating, and is not fun. I can not vote against this game strongly enough.1 found this helpful
I won't hide it, I really enjoyed my experience with 'Sheba: A New Dawn'. It's truly captivating, not just because of its beautiful graphics and exciting storyline, but because it gave me a genuine sense of immersion in its world. I highly recommend trying out the game. Thank you1 found this helpful
