"Unroaded" is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". This is not necessary, just the thought that someone would publish this Ren'Py CYOA e-book garbage on Steam as if it was a game is enough to cause despair to anyone. Humanity is doomed, this garbage e-book is proof. This was slapped together with the godawful Ren'Py visual novel construction kit... enabling terrible authors to publish books as if they were games when otherwise we might have been spared the pollution. If you are looking for a very quick game to 100% then this is for you. If you want to know what the story was like check out the other reviews because I skipped all of it.1 found this helpful
A very atmospheric visual novel that would have been great as a comic book, I feel. There's a very limited number of images but they are well executed. One playthrough takes less than an hour and I didn't play for the other endings. The game is free and well worth the time. It has a lot of text but is not unnecessarily verbose.1 found this helpful
