RoboCop: Rogue City

It's not really a good game, I several times had to reload the game because i got stuck because of a bug, the difficulty is very uneven and the main character moves very slow, but it has a lot of charm and only because of that worth the play

There's some nice ideas but the complete lack of mobility really hurts this, you very much feel like a walking tank which makes movement and shoot outs really boring. Even sprinting is super slow. A shame as its a relatively easy fix!

As a die hard fan of the Robocop films (yes, even the second and third), I had to try this game out. I was very intrigued by the high ratings on Steam when I saw what the gameplay looked like but I still decided to give it a go and see what it had to offer for myself. The game's general story is pretty simple but interesting. It is very reminiscent of something that could happen in one of the films, and it manages to delve even deeper into Murphy's struggle with his past human life and his new self. For that, I was pleased. It is also fun being able to fight with ED-209, but also against it. The levels are fun to explore. Robo's upgrades are entertaining to level up. My issues come from the game being too repetitive. At first, you enjoy it thoroughly. Then, as you begin to want to do every mission and side quest... you might start relating to Murphy's struggle: am I human or a police doormat? Because although the side quests don't take much time to finish, they are dull and useless (ex: finding someone's towel, delivering boxes, finding a VHS in a video store). Buy the numbers shooter would recommend if you into fps or robocop movies.

This is one of those games that you can say is a game. Its not long or short for what it is. It can get repetitive is some spots but over all its fun. Fighting ED-209 can suck but its doable. The cheesy phrases are great and I enjoyed every line lol. If you grew up watching RoboCop then this game will bring back memories. I didn't experience any glitches or bugs while playing. The combat is good for what it is but wear it really shines is in the splatter effects. It comes with the Messy Perk for the entire game. I recommend it when its on sale.
