About Teleglitch: Die More Edition

✦ AI summary

Survive a sprawling research facility overrun with reanimated corpses and fight your way through procedurally generated corridors in this top-down roguelike shooter with punishing permadeath and crafted weaponry. Every playthrough is different with randomized levels, 20+ enemy types, and 40+ weapons to scavenge and combine, creating an atmosphere of escalating dread as difficulty intensifies deeper into the facility.

In a cold, dark future dominated by mega-corporations, a small lonely planet on the edge of habitable space is the site of a shadowy research facility specializing in necrotic tissue reactivation. You are a scientist who has suddenly awoken to the realization that you are the lone survivor. The rest of the facility’s personnel have all been killed – micro-chipped and reactivated as combatants by the facility’s central processing AI.

Teleglitch: Die More Edition is a roguelike top-down shooter with retro pixel graphics. Featuring procedurally generated maps that change with each play through, you will never experience the same facility twice. Clutch your gun, walk down the dark corridors and enter each new room hoping those last few rounds of ammunition will be enough. Feel the anxiety, the paranoia and the sheer terror of Teleglitch.

Key Features

  • Over 20 types of enemies to combat
  • More than 40 types of weapons and items
  • 10 levels that radically change their structure every time you play
  • 10+ hours of play time (it gets harder the further you get)
  • Detailed database with full dossiers of each monster
  • Scavenge random equipment to craft new and deadly gear like The Can Gun (empty can + nails + explosives)
  • A sinister narrative filled with greedy military corporations covert experiments
  • The risk of permanent death creates an atmosphere of fear and dread

The Die More Edition features:
  • 5 bonus levels
  • Additional items and weapons
  • Upgraded and more deadly enemy AI
  • Expanded dossiers and lore content

✦ AI summary

Teleglitch: Die More Edition is criticized by players for its punishing difficulty that feels arbitrary rather than fair, compounded by a cluttered visual presentation that many find headache-inducing and hard to parse during combat. The inventory and crafting systems are described as unnecessarily cumbersome, and the overall experience is characterized as frustrating and repetitive rather than rewarding. Players consistently advise against purchasing this game, recommending alternative roguelikes instead.

"Die More Edition"? Yeah, I'd rather literally die than stare at this unreadable pixel vomit for another minute. Who the ♥♥♥♥ looks at this screen and thinks "Ah yes, peak aesthetic." It doesn't look retro, it just gives you a massive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ headache. The gameplay is nothing but cheap, artificial difficulty. You get starved of ammo and die to random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you couldn't even see because the graphics are a complete chaotic mess. And don't even get me started on the UI and crafting. It's like they actively tried to design the most clunky, miserable inventory system possible just to ♥♥♥♥ with you while you're getting swarmed by enemies. If you want a challenging roguelike, play literally anything else. This isn't rewarding or tough, it's just annoying as ♥♥♥♥.

After last incident, racist movement by your moderator , banning players and removing and deleting comments on official discord channel, I won't be support this company and as I myself blacklisted you guys, instead of apology, officials of this company said we will review our discord rules that's my ass.

This game is just bad. Ugly, frustrating, repetitive, and not fun. “Die More Edition” is actually a very accurate title because dying over and over is basically all it has to offer. Not challenging in a satisfying way. Just annoying. Absolutely not worth your money.

What happened on the official Discord server is unacceptable. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey; he is not a controversial figure! A Turkish player using a portrait of Atatürk is not hate speech in itself. Labeling Atatürk as "controversial" is disrespectful to millions of Turkish players. We will never buy games from a development team that is racist towards its own players.

Read the first letter of all the sentences.😉 Fire the racist Discord moderator and apologize. After years of updates, this game still feels like an unfinished product. Paying for the base game is apparently only the beginning of the real expense. One DLC after another has turned the game into an endless shopping list. Locking major gameplay features behind expensive expansions is not a substitute for improving the core game. Optimization is absurdly poor for a strategy game with such modest graphical requirements. Getting below 30 FPS on an RTX 5090 is simply ridiculous. In the late game, performance gets worse exactly when campaigns become more demanding. Zero excuses can justify this level of stuttering, freezing and slowdown. Even powerful hardware cannot save the game from its terrible optimization. After the initial novelty disappears, the repetitive gameplay becomes painfully obvious. Numerous campaigns eventually start feeling like the same experience repeated on the same map. DLC has become so central that the actual game sometimes feels secondary. For the amount of money players can spend, the core experience should feel substantially more complete. Instead …
