What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is a well-crafted metroidvania that players praise for its fluid combat, responsive controls, excellent boss design, clever puzzles, and quality-of-life features like the in-game memory tool. Common complaints include a weak story, occasional frustrating backtracking after puzzle sections, over-reliance on the parry mechanic in combat, and the required use of Ubisoft Connect, though some players feel the platforming emphasis overshadows the combat.
The game is challenging but it's fun to play. Loved it
amazing game
Peak of metroidvania
TLDR: Buy this now. It's the game of the year for me. Best on steam deck! It's made for that device imo. I have never put 100+ hours in my middle age late 30s due to losing interest or feeling the game never respected my time. Until now. This felt great, the exploration, combat, boss battles. Best Prince of Persia game to date. it drove me to complete it with an 100% achievement score, no other games make me want to do that. I loved prince of Persia since the Amiga64 and loved sands of time being my fav out of all before this so when I initially seen this I was intrigued to see it go back to its Amiga64 side scroller style, everything is incredibly well done and I feel like this game flew under the radar when it should have been given a lot more praise and flowers, absolutely incredible job by the Ubisoft dev team.
I just lost all my progress?? I started it up and everything was gone 7h down the drain wtf. Otherwise was a good game tho damn
