About Rise of Industry

✦ AI summary

Build and manage an industrial empire across procedurally generated 1930s maps by constructing factories, managing production chains for 150+ products, and trading with growing cities while competing against cunning AI rivals. Navigate hostile takeovers, random business events, and contract auctions with enough strategic depth for veterans yet accessible mechanics for newcomers.

Rise of Industry is a strategic tycoon game where you build and manage your growing industrial empire in a living, breathing, and procedurally generated world set in the 1930s that is constantly evolving and adapting to your playstyle.

As a budding entrepreneur, you will build factories, construct efficient production lines, move raw materials, produce finished goods, and arrange trade with the world's developing cities, providing them with the resources they need to flourish - for as they grow and prosper, so do you.

However, it won’t always be a smooth ride to magnate status. Random business events and stock auctions will keep you on your toes, all while A.I. rivals compete for market share and look for ways to grow and exploit enemy weaknesses - beware of the hostile takeover.

Designed with an eye towards both accessibility and depth, Rise of Industry has enough strategic complexity and replayability to satisfy the most experienced fans of the genre, while its simple-to-understand mechanics ensure that new players will love it as well.
  • Experience tailored for every player - Specialise in just trading, production, gathering or any combination and research your way to bigger and better things.
  • Bid for contracts to get the upper-hand over your rivals.
  • Produce over 150 individual products, managing every step along the way from raw material to end product. Only the highly skilled entrepreneur will complete the complex production chains and take items such as cars, computers and other luxury products to market.
  • Build and manage a solid transportation network to enable the efficient transfer of goods via plentiful trucks, speedy trains and high capacity airships.
  • Be prepared for fierce competition – Advanced town and city A.I., make for an intelligent and changing game world so you won’t be the only one looking for the best deal.
  • Town personalities – adapt a suitable approach for every town or face their economic backlash.
  • Huge, procedurally generated maps mean that you’ll always have room to expand your empire, whether in testing scenarios or sandbox mode where imagination is your only limit.
  • Be quick to adapt to the current business climate with contracts and random events keeping you on your toes and cash flowing in.
  • Balance environmental impact with productivity. Churn out the products at the expense of nature, or be a conscientious industrialist, balancing the delicate lay of the land with your hunger for profit.

✦ AI summary

Rise of Industry is a charming management and logistics game with admirable scope and mechanics that reward learning, but it suffers from a steep learning curve that can bankrupt new players and lacks features like multiplayer or sufficient competitive AI to keep experienced players engaged long-term. Players praise its clear interface, straightforward mechanics, and engaging industry-building systems, while criticizing unclear profit information, confusing mechanics for beginners, and limited endgame content. Most reviewers suggest checking it out when on sale rather than at full price.

Enjoyable game. However, challenging for new players. Borderline impossible, you will be bankrupt time after time. Boring for experienced players. The developers refuse to add multiplayer which would extend the player base and lift game in so many ways. However, as it stands a single player game the AIs give no competition, are bugged and are boring. Theyre isnt enough scenarios or mods on the workshop to make single player interesting even with competitive AI. I would still recommend if on sale.

Good game even if some particulars are desinged in an unfortunate way. Like it is impossible to find out whether given factory produces profit and how much. Or you have an auction to deliver 25 units of milk to some village, the auction costs 250k but you have no idea how much you will get for the delivered milk! So you cannot really decide whether you earn or lose money. This is quite a basic thing, which should be thought through more thoroughly. But in fact this game is CHARMING and very interesting despite some of its flaws. The graphics are charming, the scale is admirable. The possibilities are plentiful. Most of the mechanics are straightworward and require no tedious micromanagement. The GUI is clear and coherent, some parts are even desinged with ingenuity and great artistic craftmanship. So despite its few flaws the game is actually really charming. I suggest you give it a chance! 8/10 P.S: Chicken is uncountable in english.

Bought the game on sale because of the management part. It was indeed confusing at first but I can say I enjoyed the game after I got the hang of it. It lived up to its name. It focused on the industry part. As someone who likes management or strategy games, I recommend checking this game out especially if it's on sale ;)

DIOSS, como me gustaría que me guste este juego. Tiene muy uena pinta, pero no tengo la paciencia para entenderlo. Es muy denso. Tiene demasiado volúmen de cosas para un principiante.

In general this is a good casual game about logistic, supply and demand ... BUT -- it crashed once.
