Im still in the very first castle/area and I have played for 5 hours. So there is a good amount of game here! According to trailers there should be goblins and creepy cage crawlers and a gladiator pit as well.. and I havent seen those yet! The game is very mechanically rich and the combat feels very good. I would say that overall it is better than Blade and Sorcery because it feels like actual combat and not just dummies waiting to be slaightered. The enemies, althought dumb, like in other souls style games, fights pretty well and is challenging but fun and fair! Combat mechanics work well for VR and are not just "make contact 3 times", the weight is good althought fights can be cheesed by trapping enemies into doorways or juking them. Also in the thick of it, it should be clearer or better inplemented on how to grab wespons and where, the gsme is quite picky on hand orientation and interaction points on body for equipement as well as on weapons. Graphics are okay. Sometimes very inpressiv, especially on characters, sometimes out right laughable, like the low LOD distance makes everything into porridge. Dark souls but vr and soon we getting grimlord reborn update

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss design teleporting mage where you kite around her minions while each time you hit here she teleports away again, then immediately after that a rock monster while an weak spot 13 feet in the air. Before this fight, you fight other bosses with similarly high HP bars, and similarly small movesets. All of this comes together with you knowing how a boss functions and how to beat it within the first minutes of a fight, and then sitting with that knowledge as you hit it hundreds of times. There is genuinely a video on youtube of a guy first timing the magister (the mage version) with it taking 13 whole minutes. This would be better if we weren't locked into the boss rooms, but alas I must take the tools that I have (which do -1hp a hit) and either slug it out or die. I apologize profusely to the developers for not realizing that I should exclusively use the Golem hammer for the rest of the game, I will never touch the scimitar again! I can appreciate a game that wishes for me to take the right tools to each fight. HOWEVER, I am simply locked into the room, with tens of thousands of "matter" that I lose access to upon death (hope you've built the counter weapon first or else…

It's most definitely a Souls-like experience, in VR. You fight monsters with hand to hand, ranged, or magic weaponry and gain currency for victories. You can use this currency to buy some things and level up. Thank goodness there's also gold, so you can still use the blacksmith's services even when you've just been smacked up and are thus at zero such currency since, as being a souls-like entails, when you die you leave the correspondent of souls where you were defeated. It has a story that's simple but pleasant, the NPCs are well voiced and never annoying. Definitely a good game at a good price. Updates tend to be slow, but they add quite a bit of stuff when they drop.
