About The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day

✦ AI summary

You play as an inquisitive robot exploring a post-apocalyptic world, solving puzzles and making moral choices in a logic-driven realm where humanity has vanished. The game captivates with its atmospheric 3D environments, philosophical storytelling, and mystery-driven narrative that challenges what morality means when stripped down to pure reason.

Imagine making moral choices in a world devoid of morality. Logic rules this world, and every decision is just a set of zeros and ones. Most concepts take a whole new meaning, and some get completely abolished. Luckily reasonable beings, even if not human, always have a choice.

The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day is an story-driven adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic world. You see it from the perspective of an engineering robot RT-217NP, who seems to be very curious about the human race, long extinct in wasting wars. Experience the mysterious vibe of each of carefully explored locations. Test your skills, solving diverse puzzles. Make fateful decisions and discuss intriguing matters to find out the whole truth being kept from you.

Key features:
  • Classic 3D Adventure with unique story
  • Beautiful graphics and immersive atmosphere
  • Original indie soundtrack
  • Made using NVIDIA GameWorks HBAO+, DoF and FXAA technologies

✦ AI summary

The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day is a short three-hour narrative adventure featuring an interesting premise about a robot discovering a human child in a post-human world, with atmospheric visuals, diverse puzzles, and thoughtful storytelling that most players find engaging despite some rough edges. Common complaints center on clunky movement controls, a story that feels somewhat unfinished and could use more expansion, and limited actual consequences from player choices despite the game's branching narrative structure.

Well this was not as long of a game as I expected but it left some impressions on me. First and foremost this game has a few puzzles, but some really cool ones which I liked, some of them were even a tiny bit to difficult for me. The concept of the story is interesting but the story itself felt like it could be expanded more it felt unfinished and the worst is that it did not intrigue me enough that I would be exited for a sequel. Movement in this game was a bit annoying. When you walk or run one way you would get stuck moving in that direction until you release all the buttons. I know that the game is short but what the devs made well is that the game did not feel repetitive but ofcourse it's only 3 hours long. I liked the observations that the robot made about humans when finding some stuff from them from the past. It felt like an actual robot was talking as everything he said was very rational. Other than that the game was fine. On a scale from one to ten it's a strong five. To sum it up I'd say grab the game when it's on sale. It's not much but a different perspective on things from a robots eyes.

Story is decent and graphic and movement is clunky and unpolished. devolvers could more thing but still it is very good to play. Graphics looks like console level as it is. But i played this game on low or mid range setting due to old pc. I bought this on a great deal in sale so I have no regret.

I started the game with some expectations - and it was both a hit and some misses. The hits: The graphics was pretty good for the premise. It was not awesome, but it was indeed lot more than what you'd expect in a point and click game. The narration was done well, keeping in mind that no inflections or emotions were recorded in the robot's voice over (apart from that one robot). The narrative options are also limited while playing (meaning once you choose a response, you cannot go back and check other responses). This sort of forces a story with consequences, but there are not much in terms of actual consequences. The diversity in the mini-games associated with the puzzles is good. There are lots of achievements - most of which can be acquired in a normal playthrough without referring to a guide. You don't have to grind at the game to achieve all the achievements and I find it as a good thing. The misses: There are bugs - especially associated with the movement controls. Several times, the Player character won't change direction mid way after you started walking, unless you take your hands off the keys. The click boxes for the options sometimes didn't register properly a…

A quiet, melancholic adventure about a robot world after humans are long gone. RT stumbles on a sleeping girl and suddenly has to unlearn every rule his kind lives by. The choices you make shape how he changes, and the story handles that transformation a lot better than most games. Puzzles are simple and the pacing is slow, but that fits the mood .
