Deathtrap

This older game has an interesting premise, but the general gameplay is pretty lacking. Movement and interactions are clunky and the levels are repetitive. It also appears the developer has abandoned the game. The multiplayer lobby failed several days ago, and posts to Steam tech support discussions and the Neocore Games website are ignored. It might be worth picking up on sale for solo play, but multiplayer is not reliable.

A enjoyable tower defense at first, with a good variety of levels and mechanics. Unfortunately, the experience becomes much less enjoyable when going for 100%. I don't think it's worth the time in 2026. I don't like clunky management, and the way the game limits places where you can build your towers. I want to play TD, and I will look for something else.

The game is extremely good even in 2026, aged very well and in my opinion one of the last proper tower defense game on the market. Its a mix between diablo 2/path of exile and tower defense, Very awesome game!. Suprised it never got more coverage.

The game is cool, no questions. Bit too dark for where I stand today, but certainly improves on 'Diablo formula' quite drastically. Yes, the Diablo elements are all there, plus on the top you'll find things like 'bestial book' - a collection of the beast our protagonist traps, Shop to buy/sell items, Skill Tree for both, protagonist's skill set and the traps themselves; essentially creating very good depth level, kudos! The game is set in Van Helsing Universe setting. World of ghouls, ghosts, demons.. flying, climbing, jumping unwholesome beasts. Very early-days fantasy books-like; and we are to trap/dispose them using wide variety of amazing tools. Fire traps, poison traps, cages with beasts, etc. Narration is good, but it's essentially Van Hellsing, even though title doesn't says that directly (!) As a Tower Defense/RPG it's a solid deal; progression is there, action is there, not too much puzzling going on, which is sad - it's purely 'outsource the enemy' kind of deal, like many many titles out there. But the fact that it has this unique blend/setting of trap/action going on, it changes the profile completely. For now I only have 1h on record, but the experience is promising…
