✦ AI summary

Dustland Delivery has solid mechanical foundations with decent writing and a well-realized world, but players consistently note that it lacks the polish and soul needed to be truly engaging, with clunky UI and a somewhat tedious gameplay loop that feels more like route planning and resource management than an exciting tycoon experience. The game is considered passable but uninspiring by most, leaving players without strong motivation to keep playing, though those who appreciate intricate balance mechanics may find something worthwhile here.

Why does even an apocalypse tycoon game have to include LGBT ideology?

Honestly it's a close run thing as to whether I'd recommend it or not. I've settled on "no" because I can't really put my finger on exactly why it isn't clicking, but I already find myself forcing myself to give it another try, rather than clicking PLAY because I know I'll enjoy it. The bones of something great are here, the UI and tutorialising could both use some work, but ultimately there is just some polish and soul missing that would take this game to another level. Also, the way the roads DLC is advertised and made almost necessary within the base game itself is a little bit ick. Edit: I realise now that the roads DLC is actually a FreeLC but they should probably make that obvious or just add the roads functionality into the game rather than a separate download, especially if they're gonna put some of the information and work into the base game regardless as to whether you have the roads FreeLC installed.

This was boring as hell. There's really nothing else to say about it. I can't say it's really good or bad, because for whatever it's vision might of been, it didn't even spark an ember of interest in me (let alone keep that interest) to want to deal with the boring and tedious process of figuring it out. Didn't realize it'd more or less just be a route planner and resource scarcity simulator.

To damn with faint praise - this game is kind of ok but I don't feel the urge to play it really. UI is pretty clunky as well.

By and large it's pretty good. Fine writing, decent balance, and a well-realized world with lots to do in it. The skills feel meaningful, and how you interact with the game changes a lot depending on what skills you have available at any time. The relationship mechanics are a little underbaked, unfortunately, and despite having the option to be gay, the extreme rarity of homosexual characters makes it feel like an afterthought.

good mechanically simple, intricate game of balance And if youre no good at it the save editing is very simple to figure out
