Ascension to the Throne: Valkyrie

In which you control the main character and go around the map along with the story completing quests, recruiting troops for turn-based battle.[/td] [td]❌ However, the implementation of how it would perform is flawed and limited to say the least. The game system sets the difficulty to the max even in the beginning and at some point can soft / hard lock you since the strategy options are limited. Ex: (1) you cannot position your troops in any way to gain advantage. (2) the game know which troops can easily be defeated or if the MC is weak enough to kill thereby ending the battle (3) Some battles start out of nowhere without allowing you to recruit or warn you or have the option to avoid or sth, cause it can basically curb stomp your entire army and there is no way to progress.[/td] [/tr] [tr] [td]🖥️[b] [u] Graphic: [/u] [/b] Visuals are pretty enough, high praise for the models, especially the very sexy MC (Eneya) ❤️[/td] [td]🐞 Bugs such…

A sequel to Ascension to the Throne game that takes place during the events of the first game. While first game gives us perspective of Alexander, this game allows us to experience the story from the perspective of Eneya, the prophesized "Valkyrie" and human that grew up among Orcs. This game reuses the engine and much of the locations and assets from the previous game, so I'll review it assuming someone is diving in after first game. Just in case, the tl;dr of that review and this - Ascension to the Throne is a flawed in many regards (graphics, balance, amount of content) King's Bounty-like that I feel is endearing enough of an experience, at least at a discount. As mentioned, large chunk of locations and good number of enemy and ally units are reused from the previous game. Game balance, however, was changed up quite a bit. While first game has some difficulty spikes, it was overall a relatively simple to cheese experience, especially by specializing in magic. Compared to that, sequel is made fair bit tougher in many regards and does actually take a degree of effort, if not too much, to succeed. Sweet memories from my first PC and era of CDs.

I think this might be the worst game in the history of the world. My character is running around in a chainmail bikini which, ok, but her ass is shaded weirdly and it looks like loose chicken skin when she runs around. I really need to stop being a sucker for people leaving positive reviews on high fantasy games from years ago that I never played.

Eu queria poder recomendar o jogo, ele é muito bom (praticamente igual o primeiro só que menos apelão), mas se vc buildar seu personagem errado, o jogo dá softlock e vc perde todo o progresso (a não ser que vc volte algumas horas de jogo e upe melhor) Tirando esse skill issue, é top. Mas pra uma experiência superior, recomendo o primeiro jogo
