Warlock Evolved

Project Warlock II picks up right after the events of the first game. Warlock’s disciples Palmer, Urd, and Kirsten, each bring their own arsenals of skills, perks, unique weapons, and spells to the table, as well as personal reasons to confront their old master.Levels in the game evolved into vertical, three-dimensional, multi-floored structures, platforms, and buildings that literally elevate the gameplay. Each of the 3 chapters of Project Warlock II consists of 12 levels, each one more vertical and intricate than in the original game.

Explosive Combat

Palmer, Urd, and Kirsten carry unique arsenals of weapons and magic skills based on their personas that enable different playstyles. Their tools of destruction can be upgraded resulting in 20+ weapons for each character. In the first chapter, don the mantle of Palmer, whose love for ice, fire, and dual guns fuels the fight against the demon hordes. Though little is known about his past, Palmer's lethal arsenal of weapons and magic makes him an unstoppable force against the endless waves of relentless Ghouls, towering Turbo Knights, flying Cacobots, and massive Pigdemons standing in his way, whether he’s raining down bullets, setting hellspawns on fire, or shattering them into pieces.Chapter 2 lets you experience the power of Urd’s magical arsenal and nimble weapons in the fight against demon hordes. Urd’s smaller, lethal tools, like the magic-infused Dagger, Buckshot Revolver, and TNT Charges, are perfect for dynamic combat. Her spells, from Agility for speed to Poison for damage-over-time and Crystal for battlefield control, give her the edge in battle. With her versatile weapons and magic, Urd is a deadly force, exploiting enemy weaknesses to master the art of demon-slaying.
Kirsten’s campaign in Chapter 3 takes you beyond the stars, where cosmic horrors and unspoken threats lurk in the void. Armed with heat-based weapons and summoning magic, she thrives in chaos. Her Nailgun ricochets bullets off walls, the Lava Streamer scorches everything in its path, and her Demonic Claws tear through flesh and armor, feeding her insatiable hunger for battle. With Hellish Slaves at her command, and the crushing force of the Demonic Hammer, Kirsten bends dark forces to her will, searching for redemption… or something far more sinister.

Old Meets New

The legacy of the first Warlock lives on in the sequel! The goal with Project Warlock II is to take the gameplay you enjoyed from the original game and elevate it without losing the “Warlock soul”.The ol’ and trusty character progression from the original Project Warlock is back in the form of Stats and Perks Points for you to find, scattered around the levels. Use them at the stations in the HUB - a level between the levels, similar to Workshop from the first game - and enhance your abilities to take the demonic carnage to another level. Each Warlock disciple brings a few unique upgrades, allowing them to show off the full potential of their respective arsenals.During your adventure in Project Warlock II you will find familiar demons, weapons and spells…

Project Warlock 2 is what happens when Doom, Quake, and a heavy metal album have a child… then hand it way too much coffee. Every weapon feels like it’s angry at your enemies’ entire family tree, and the explosions are so over-the-top they’re probably visible from space. The only downside? Half the game is spent blasting demons, and the other half is asking, “Wait… where’s the exit?” Still, if you love fast-paced boomer shooters with buckets of gore and enough firepower to violate several Geneva Suggestions, this one absolutely delivers.

let me cut to the chase: you enjoyed the first game this will likely be no different. it has extremely satisfying gameplay, lots of variety for weapons (+ their upgrades) and the warlocks themselves are really cool. i like their concepts and especially the third one, the demoness. so i would end it here and recommend you to get it, but i will list some caveats i would like to be fixed that you should watch out for. please note i played on the Steam Deck. - all of the story based text feels very much like it was written using ChatGPT. the stereotypical tropes such as using rule of three, em-dashes and such are present and it left me with a slightly sour taste in my mouth; the first game didn't have this. - the performance can tank. sometimes a LOT. which is weird considering the console can withstand more than this. it can dip to 30's and sometimes even less if enough things overload the resources. - weapon balancing feels off especially for Urd; ie. her revolver is super weak then if you upgrade it to the shotgun revolver thing it gets extremely overpowered, her ballista/crossbow is underpowered and the projectiles don't seem to home towards targets properly. i'd say the other warl…

The game is bad. The only thing that this game does better than the first is the shooting. Right after playing the first three levels i was so disappointed, the level design was very bad, there is nothing interesting that made me wanna continue playing it and it was worse than a chore. I FORCED myself to play the game, which beats the whole point of playing a game to have fun. Everything was boring and just meh, there was no reason for me to play. if i didn't buy the game i would've uninstalled it. I just fell for the sunk cost fallacy. Just because i payed money and invested time in the game shouldn't have been a reason for me to continue playing it, but the trap is the more time you spend the stronger the pull of this irrationality becomes. The levels were really bad and confusing, it just felt like they wanted to make the levels fun to play like a puzzle but instead they just made them big (first 14 levels only). IT IS HELL to play through them and its just super repetitive, there is no new ideas. There is multiple doors, most of them are locked, i find a key, open one door, get a key for the other door and so on until you open the last door and find the exit, and that is it. A…

7/10 generally improves on the first instalment but feels a little unsatisfying in some ways. Not much in way of narrative either but with a decent sound track. The graphics have improved whilst keeping the essential style from the 1st game. Decent amount of weapons for each of the characters and nice variety of enemies across the chapters, with several variants of each. The automatic hard mode half way through each campaign keeps things interesting without being unfair. Combo and locational hit mechanics are fine, though you will often feel like a yoyo. As your health will suddenly go from full to running back to the level start, desperately looking for health. Big improvement on the level design with the addition of jumping and more verticality. But it's also a bit janky in places because of the jumping, as I managed to avoid key locked doors and get into secrets by cheating a few times on each chapter. Plus the levels actually feel like what they are called, rather than just being 'video game level 3'. Like if it's called "Old person cruise ship", "Discount Femboy warehouse" or "Sweaty Furry convention" then that's what it looks like. (Sadly, none of those examples exist, mayb…
