I don't know if the deep-fried sprites are supposed to be a deliberate style choice, but it's not really working for me. The crosshair in particular looks pretty bad, with some white pixels clearly visible amongst the red. It just looks lazy, & being the crosshair, it's just in your face the whole time. The first boss fight kept glitching out; sometimes I would start with the tommy gun & sometimes I wouldn't. When you damage the first boss they make an ouch sound, & it sounds like the sound is coming from the player, which is very confusing. Having the tommy gun fire only in bursts felt pretty bad. It kind of undermines the whole point of a machine gun. It took me a while to realise that the small potplants on the ground were healing me. Are they Christmas trees? Am I being healed by the power of Christmas? I'm so confused. I once heard a developer say, "Just make it, & then worry about making it good later.". I feel like the main problem with this dev is that they never get to stage 2. They just move on to the next game. Please spend more time polishing your turds bro.

Bit of a sour start with this one. Don't rely on the quick save. I lost a bit of progress. But overall I enjoyed it. A bit of ambition, multiple endings, hidden quests, platforming. Probably overstays it's welcome but a good time overall.

I've played and enjoyed several other games by this developer (Blood Mall, Quartermain, and Dead Trash), and this one was hitting all the same boxes. It's got a great vibe for a small, indie boomer shooter, enjoyable though repetitive music, and solid enemy designs. The reason I don't recommend it is the bugs, which I did not encounter in any of the other games. - In about 2 hours played, I clipped out of bounds 5-6 times. I could not get back in bounds and needed to reload a save. - Hit detection was irritating. The pistol is 2-shot burst and the machine gun is 3-shot burst. Both seem to only hit at the very start of the animation. The other shots are just for decoration. The shotgun spread is extremely tight and grenades pass through enemy sprites if they are even slightly off-center. This was much more noticeable on larger enemies. - In one level during a city section, there was a skull icon on a door which opened when I interacted with it. Inside was a gold key. In the next hallway was the gold key door along with a skull icon above a button, which I pressed. I then opened the gold key door, went down some steps, and the level ended. I reloaded my save to see if anything cha…

Simple and solid. Does not overstay it's welcome. DOSMan Games has great art direction.

No clue how this game has very positive when the creator definitely just shat it out one day. It's generic, boring, sloppy, etc.
