Armada 2 expands everything from the original—bigger battles, deeper customization, three narrative campaigns tied to the Gathering Storm storyline, and refined multiplayer that actually works.
Expanding on the groundwork laid out by the first game, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is a full-blown sequel - bigger, richer, more impressive and more ambitious than the original game. It will include, at launch, all 12 factions from the original tabletop game and its expansions it is based on: the Imperial Navy, Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Necrons, Chaos, Aeldari Corsairs, Aeldari Craftworld, Drukhari, the T’au Merchant and Protector Fleets, Orks, and finally, the Tyranids.
The latest dramatic story development in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the Gathering Storm and the 13th Black Crusade, serves as the canvas for three extensive and dynamic campaigns with high narrative values, focusing on the Tyranids, the Necrons, and the Imperium. Explore the systems in the Eye of Terror, with or against renowned characters such as Belisarius Cawl, Gulliman and more.

Last played at the end of NOV 2024 and had no issues at all. Tried to play in 2025 and it would not work despite trying every fix you will find around the internet. Tried playing now in 2026 and still no "fix" works. Absolute BS that this is being sold like this when the devs can't be Fed to actually fix it. DO. NOT. BUY.1 found this helpful

Great game RUINED by silly anti cheat software that cause no end of issues. Crashes my PC regularly. Won't start if you disable it. EAC is an appalling choice and Il probably avoid any releases that use it in the future. The game itself is great fun but feels like rushed it out. ALOT of janky interfaces poor fed back lazy campaign writing and bizarre difficulty spikes in odd places. So much potential but poor execution. Stinks of a crunch rush to pack it out the door. I don't feel the love in this game. Witch is a HUGE shame as its probably one of the better 40K games I've played. Faithful to the table top game but making so good options to make it work as a PC game. If you can get it to work stably and don't find the anticheat a deal breaker pick it up its good value. BUT and its a BIG BUT I would defiantly buy to test run it and if you find it crashes your system just return it. Shame there wont be a 3rd game :( That actually works as intended and doesn't crash my PC
If you like Warhammer 40k, huge epic starships duking it out in space, tactical gameplay with interesting options and a dynamic strategic campaign to go with it - go for it. It's not as faithful to the Battlefleet: Gothic wargame as I'd have hoped, but it's faithful enough to its main concepts and fun even when picked up after a long time.
