Starseed Pilgrim

Inspired my own game. It's awesome.

This game is an abstract meditation on curiosity and exploration. The progression here is unique, which is why I don’t want to say too much about it. For me, it’s one of those games where I’d love to forget my playthrough so I could play it once again for the first time. The aesthetic strikes a minimalist balance between beauty and functionality. In this regard, I’d especially like to highlight the soundtrack as exceptionally well done! It is a great game.

This game represents a lot of things to quite a few people. I think it's wonderful and I really wish the dev would make more games like it. It's a very unique game and the medium would be lesser without it. I love feelings this game gives me.

A game I still think about from time to time over a decade later Very unique, very FUN! (If you don't mind having to figure things out yourself) Anyway, give it a try if you can, there's nothing quite like it.

Okay I hear that this is supposed to be worth it if you hang in there, but I believe I understand the game, and while it is addictive to keep playing, I don't get the sense that it is actually worth playing anymore. If there is something amazing, why hide it so well? Going to watch a video now to see if I'm actually missing something. <watches video> Yeah, okay there's some interesting things going on, but the game play loop is not super interesting to me, and has got a lot of repetition. I also found that the ways in which the gameplay changes as you move from suit to suit, is not always positive - sometimes it makes the runs more annoying. So what's the motivation for advancing?
